Title: bad fuel injector?
Post by: SlowVrT on May 01, 2009, 11:36:41 AM
Ok, wanna see if anyone could help with this, car is a 94 vw jetta with vr6, i was driving my car, was driving normal and all of a sudden my car started missing, i went home changed out my coil pack, because i thought it was that, changed it and was doing the same thing, my plugs have less then a 1000 miles, and i kno my wires are good,  the way my intake manifold is i can only reach one fuel injector, and ive had trouble outta this injector for leaking, the injectors also have less then 1000 miles, but anyways when i unplug the injector the car still runs the same, think it could be the injector?

It could be your lack of proper punctuation and capitalization. Take two seconds to explain it to me in a way that doesn't cross my eyes, and you'll get help quicker.

VR6 eat spark plug wires.  Check continuity across that wire and compare it to the others.

When you fix it, sell your car and get something that doesnt suck donkey cock.

Dude just swap the wire on the dead cyl with another and see if the miss moves.  Humor me.  Also look at your plug on that cyl.  Just cause the wires are new doesnt mean you dont have a bad one.

While you have the plug out, with it in the wire lay it on a surface it can be grounded, and get your mom/sister/girlfriend to crank it for you.  Spark/no spark.  If you have spark, check fuel.  Check compression, etc etc.

Fuel, air, spark, compression.  Your dead cyl isnt getting one of them.

coming from hondas to this is so much better

Roll eyes smiley.

On a side note, I smoked a modded Vr6 mk3 in the twistes today in my stock mk5 2.0t Jetta.  I lol because my Jetta is slow.
