I'm thinking we should beat the old 1.5s that I have to death.  In the mean time I'm gonna sell the mini me and get an A6 ls rod vitara going for it,  but if I can get cheap used rods I'll go with that...  I also have another Z6 head..

The Z6 will stay in the coupe as long as the motor runs,  still need the injectors and I'm gonna need a better clutch for 20 psi...

Yeah the hot/cold selector broke off all the way so it wouldn't mount where is suppose to go so, Glovebox it went....   I need the heat cause I live in the northeast...

It also makes more room for gauges and other things...

Guess the old price/performance/time thing has you by the nuts still. This build is taking forever, therefor it must do 10's for <$1k or it's a failure. :P

You mean autoseatbelt shit? AFAIK the easiest and only way to avoid the beeping box is to drill out it's piezo speaker. From what I recall it's integrated into a few things, and virtually impossible to fool the sensors. It senses if they are open, closed, or inbetween - and know WHEN they should be where. The worst part is all the online PDF's are for the CRX, and Chiltons suck for the autoseatbelt shit.

If you mean just the wires that connect to the seats...that shit's easy. Just jump the left side of the 4pin connector, or insert a resistor to match the seat if it's a 2pin.

Dont play with me like that...

Btw...  Going to Vatozone tommrow and buying axles with the warenty and energy suspention trailing arm bushings...

If I have a 95 integra intermedate shaft and If buy the 95 axle,  It will work in the 91?  Right??  ???  I'm pretty sure It will work that way but want some reasurence...
Title: Re: Project Bang For The Buck!
Post by: Joseph Davis on July 12, 2010, 10:54:50 PM
The driver's axle must match the intermediate shaft. 90-93 driver axle and int shaft, or 94+ driver axle and int shaft.  This is ignoring the Y1 int shaft and axle from the OBD0 era B16 shit, those were a 1/4" longer and the axle shorter to suit - you don't see many this far along, all thrown away by now.

Pass axle is universal.
Title: Re: Project Bang For The Buck!
Post by: Towdogg on July 12, 2010, 11:19:11 PM
Thanks....

94 and up it is...

Whats the opinion on the Golden Eagle Intake Mani?  Im gonna use it cause it was free and its WAY bigger than the stock one...  I also have the Chris M. TB and spacer mounted on it..

Car will be boosted of course, with:
Egay .57
Jackie Chan wastegate
Homemade sinktrap
Dsm 450's
Etc. etc.

Big plenum makes for big power on a boosted car.  I've only tuned one, turbo B16.  .60 trim T3/T04E, AFI ramhorn, 68mm BBK throttlebody, stock sleeve piston/rod motor.  Car ran impressively well for a B16, it's still rolling around after 2 years with a super nice guy who doesn't know the most about cars flogging on it daily.

Hm I may relocate an accord climate control to the glovebox.

The CRX is broke, unsurprisingly.

The biggest pain in the ass with the accord is actually cutting the dials fromthe selector... Its all one piece, extending the wires is easy... I put mine below the stereo  since I wanted access to them, wanted the holes in the dash for gauges, and use my glove box for the gat yo!

I've done that with a D-series short block, flywheel, clutch and oil pan, no crank pulley or accessories before.

My back hated me for it later.

These nigga's don't know nothing bout that......

Btw.. My eGay cast mani is giving me troubles so im going to try my buddy's OBX topmount....
Title: Re: Project Bang For The Buck!
Post by: Joseph Davis on August 09, 2010, 12:23:13 PM
The only OBX topmount I had experience with (it may have been generic china, but was thick walled which I associate with OBX) required a T04 on center turbine housing.  It was on an EM1 chassis, and the guy only had a tangental housing + decided to cut into the headlight frame and run no hood to make it work.  Not what I would have done.

Be ready to test fit and take that right off, ED are a much tighter chassis with less clearance.

FYI, made 422 whp off a B16 with 60-1 on that manifold, sprayed a 100 shot and made 574 with slicks breaking free at 7500 rpms.  Local heart breaker Mustang dyno.  There's nothing wrong with those as far as power production, and the one I'm thinking of didn't have any cracking problems.

nate i swear last time i was there and you came over chuck told you to take that b series up stairs and you said you were to sore from working out...i recall me picking it up and putting it in the car whilst holding the motor with one hand and boltin up the mounts with the other

Block + head together? That's impressive  :?:

I did it yesterday with a complete b18a1 block with flywheel, but without the head and it was a fucking pain in the ass. I had to lift it at least 20 times to be able to align it correctly with the bolt hole... Like you, I had to hold it with one hand and the other trying to fit the bolt in the fucking hole.

I'm 6' tall and weight 150lbs btw.

He kinda bear hugged it with the head and valve cover....  No fuilds in it with the crank pully in the sky...  No fly wheel i dont  think...

So the OBX topmount fits but like JD said im gonna have to trim the headlight sheet metal...  MAYBE NOT if you guys think it wont hurt my ebay turbo if i cut about half of the intake side off it....

I did this with my D16.  I had two jack stands to hold the short block close to the height I needed to line up the input shaft to my clutch.

I also used to old head bolts on top of the block to help with controlling the movement of the block when I was setting it in the bay on the jack stands.
