not sure that home depot will have this specialized of a fitting.
turbocharger.com charges like 8 bucks plus 15 for shipping. thats insane. (it weighs less than 1oz.)
anyone know of a good cheap place to get one that will fit my 16g to 4an oil feed line.
-
somewhere that sells hydraulic fittings is where i got mine
-
summit aluminum ones are more expensive than the ebay one
thats not an unreasonable price shipped for a metric to an fitting

Dunno if there is one local to you or what they want for shipping though.

so going with ebay may not be the worst idea. im thinking, i dont wanna buy this thing and then end up at home depot getting adapters for the wrong threading.
since im not 100% certain that my oil line is 4an. i think it is but im not certain.

Shit... just saw this. I live 10 mins from the hydraulic shop I get my fittings from. Brass fittings are about $1. Woulda shipped it to ya on the cheap. :-\

Acually they should, but they're called flare fittings, aka JIC 37* flare, same as AN with different thread tollerances (same size). What they don't have is metric threads unless you're in a European store.

1/4" flare is -4 AN aka JIC 45*. The difference is the 45 vs 37 degree seat, and since the Homeboy Depot fittings are soft brass it doesn't fucking matter the shit seals and works great.

3 key facts about AN fittings.
Flare angle is 37°, not 45°
Interchangeable with JIC fittings
Divide AN # by 16 to get inches
I also just measured a flare I think I got from homeless depot and it's a 37*, not a 45*. I'll have to measure the bigger fittings at work tomorrow, but I'm sure I've never seen a 45*.
