I pulled a motor and put one in on plywood, it was alright. Better then in the dirt.

Costco,hardware stores probably Harbour Freight i think it is in the US? You can buy them online too. They very from industrial survive a hurricane models to the cheapest China special that will blow over if you fart to hard. It comes down to how much you want to spend. If you have level ground then throw some 3/4 to 1" plywood down for a floor if not on pavement etc.

Were you using the 1 ton model? The 2 ton should have no problem.

Too lazy to take pics, and its dark out. I will later. But I had these on the computer. My apartment garage, attached. Works for me, especially with living in an apartment, and its attached with a driveway.

Wagons now gone, and the hatch is in the garage.

Nice laptop. +T61 here. My CDM digital soldering iron that looked a lot like that one, ate it's own ass in less then a month. Hopefully that one outlives it's cousin. It made it 34 days, just long enough not to take back to fry's.

Everyone I've known with one "of that design" has had a good experience, but I make no mistake about it's country of origin. How did yours fail? Care to sell it as parts if you've still got it?

And, yeah, I love my T61 with all of my shrunken black heart.
