Ebay user turbos_r_us sells the same kits gpop does at much lower price. Most are $35.

The last 5 kits I've got from that guy. 99.8% positive feedback, and I haven't had any problems with any of his kits.

To aid in the natural direction of this thread, anyone know of a place that balances at eBay style pricing. I have rebuilt few turbos that had good wheels, but I have one that needs a new compressor wheel

The only turbos that are assembly balanced anymore are garrett. Most everything else is component balanced.

That's interesting. I probably would have rebuilt this thing a long time ago had I known that.

I actually had this turbo built by blaast a few years ago and never had any trouble. A rogue a/c plug took out the comp wheel on a random hard pull with no screen.

I have had a few rebuilt there, as have several others from the BC area. Never an issue, but lots of other seem to have had problems. Guess we were just lucky?
