Pics don't show it.

Radiator header is mashed back on drivers side. Fan is rubbing the rad. Bumper is pushed back some and the fender is into the door.

Don't know if I want to fix it or buy another one and swap stuff over.

Shit, the bastard just rolled down the side after I hit, kicked dents in the bottom of the door and rocker and jumped the fuck up and took off.

It's a blazer. I'm pretty sure it would need all new suspensions parts in 10k miles anyways. You should thank that deer.

It's fixable, but to me it's easier to swap engine/tranny over to another shell.

Might have a line on a 2 door.

Does it have a v8 swap in it? Do you actually like the blazer? I have a 07 trailblazer that I really like but that's because it's a decent size. Bigger than the s10 blazer and smaller than a tahoe.

It's the 4.3, and yes I like it.

Have an Isuzu Ascender with the 5.3 also.

It's a little more than unbolting the old parts and bolting on new ones. You would have to see it in person to know what I mean. Core support is shoved back on that side as well.

Besides, I've always liked the 2 door ones better.

Used a strap hooked up to the ascender to pull the core support back out. Worked it back out straight and installed new hood, fender. and headlight. Ordering a grill and turn signal to finish it up.

Pretty much fixed.

Have some things on the way for it.
2114 intake converted for FI so I can use real injectors. Has 2 bar/injectors, etc already. Was used on a built 4.3 with a Y trim vortech at 18 lbs.

Intake setup showed up.

Crazy off the wall question.

I'd like to get all of the turbo fab, etc done before I take it for JD to work his magic. It's a pretty serious drive to get there from the house.

Does anyone know of a "pipe" setup that I could put in place of the turbo and down pipe so I could just remove the turbo to drive it up there?

Something with a T3 flange going to a 90 that would then bolt up to the down pipe?

With the mountains between there and my house it would be near impossible to keep it out of boost.
Title: Re: Damnit
Post by: dvst8r on December 25, 2014, 05:01:25 PM
Sounds easy to fab to me, grab another t3 or t4 or whatever flange a 90 degree elbow and the matching vband piece, make the same as turbo hotside.

Internal wastegate or external? Wire the gate open. Will never go into boost and you won't have to fuck with all that nonsense.
Title: Re: Damnit
Post by: Tim on December 25, 2014, 09:18:03 PM
Pull the center of the turbo out and slap a piece of sheet metal over the hole in the hot side.

Shit, didn't think about that. Will I have to worry about overspeeding it?
Title: Re: Damnit
Post by: ratcityrex on December 26, 2014, 03:19:15 PM
You shouldnt if the gates wide open and your not doing wot rippers. If it does then just plate off the center section of the turbo like Tim said. Shit I would even leave the oil feed and return hooked up to the turbo if you have enough slack to pull it out of the way. That way when you get there just pull the plate slide the turbo in and clamp the charge pipes on.

Post by: Tim on December 26, 2014, 09:06:39 PM
I threw a soup can lid in the outlet vband when I broke my intercooler so I could cruise it. Might have kept the turbo from spooling idk. Didn't really care much at the time

Working on a deal for a sy/ty downpipe and a decent intercooler now.

Header wrap for downpipe ordered. Plug wire heat boots ordered. Still trying to find 6 24 lb.hr injectors to use until I get it up to be tuned.

Anyone have any 6AN connectors and line laying around?

Some other stuff I have:

Precision SC6152S
Adj. Wastegate actuator
Adj FPR
In box:
Flanges
T-rex inline with wiring kit.
