small update, hope to have pics tomorrow

-ported and smoothed intake ports
-matched the gasket, slightly oversize for a nice reversion step up :D
-cleaned up all the valves
-shipped the cam to delta for their 272 treatment :D will cost me 170 bucks shipped both ways :) not to bad considering a comparable crower stg3 is 300+ not bad at all IMO and keep stock reliability of the camshaft


Im thinking of throwing this head/cam/IM/74mm throttle body onto the stock z6 block just to see how she likes it and because im to lazy to swap out the whole block lol

Since they made the cam journals slightly to big and peoples cams seized up and their finish isn't great either seen a few burs left over from machining

interesting.  mine runs just fine.  interested in what kind of performance you get out of that regrind.  i might do one for a budget hx-35 setup for a crx this summer if i find time

I'm sure it will work out great I'll Len you know thoug hope to throw this head package on the stock block as a test mule

got bored today since im just waiting on shit to ship in so i did some mapping, not sure why the pics are croped and fucked up looking trying to fix through photobucket

with the cam, porting, IM, TB i did the math with 100%VE and 20psi, 1st line 3500prm 2nd 7500

holeset hx35 not sure on the map but it looks legit



best map i could find for my current ebay turbo which is a 46 trim if i measured it all correct (.50 in .63 ex)


a real garret 50 trim



what you guys think i should do?

Corey is selling the one from his build with a 12cm exhaust housing.  I think that would be reasonable for spool, and he ported the shit out of the exhaust side.  I think he wanted $300.  check his build thread

not perfectly matched but the IM is smaller so anti-reversion is still there







hit it with 60 grit per chris M spec  :noel: as you can see cant quite reach everthing but whatever i just want this motor together and boosting ill go crazy on the other head

just removed all the cast marks off the main gurdle so oil flows back down to the pan better, i know it prob wont do anything but w/e lol




got 1/2 of it notched my compressor and the carbide bit are shitting the bed takes FOREVER

well i want to make some more HP out of my vitara build and the cam and head is a great place to gain some power for sure!

after pricing out a cam from zex or other comperable brands I wasnt sure if it was worth the investment, ive also read a review or two of some of the cams binding up on d-series so i started looking for a solution.

I gave delta a call and asked what they could do for me after watching their videos on Delta Camshaft I was confident on sending my cam out. After talking to Scott for a bit we agreed on a 272 grind :bigok: another benefit is its a stock core cam so reliability cant be beat its straight from Honda!!

I sent my cam out via USPS it fits in a flat rate box (barely) lol and sent it for 14 bucks. about 2 days later I got a call saying its on it way back. :yes: custumer service is top notch and down time is minimal.

the price honestly cant be beat a performance cam for 160 bucks is AWESOME


the packaging was top notch


what you get in the box: The cam, a shirt, and two stickers to whore them out



The cam its self looks GREAT smooth surfaces, nicley machined not a spec of rust on it, and no chips missing like in the bisi unit thats in the F/S forum LOL

the lobes look awesome should have a nice loap at idle :D


overall my concencus i see no reason not to go with delta even if you want to go bigger then 272 they can weld the cam and even then its still cheaper then the competitors!

if you want power, price, and 2nd to none service go with delta :bigok:
