i bought a used old looking bov from this guy off craigslist. I asked him if it operates properly. He told me it should work and if anything is wrong he would let me return it. Upon arriving home i see there is some rust or water corrosion on and around the bottom of the bov and inside the cone. I notice if i press hard on it it usually moves like my 1g DSM bov does. I buy some PB blaster and take all the fittings off. I Remove the screw that I think tightens the spring and spray inside there as well. I was wondering if the bov is salvageable for rebuild or is it done for.

I pushed down inside the screw and the spring has tension...but the piston wont move. I dont want to put a busted bov on and have massive compressor surge from it being seized. Intro? wtf is this E harmony? I need answers dammit.

i had a blits do that before too. just take the clip out of the bottom and take it all apart and clean it up and lube it. might need to use some fine grit sand paperto clean some of the rust off. i put mine back together and it worked fine after that.

Thanks for the help. I did what you said but it seems the bov itself has been left out and got wet from the previous owner. There are calcium deposits that have encrusted the outside and around the piston. I cleaned it up and tried to get the piston out but still no luck. I even let it soak in PB blaster for a night. Its no biggie tho the person I got it from is willing to exchange it for an HKS. Lesson learned.

mine was stuck in there too, had to put it in a vice and stick a nail in the adjustment hole and whack it with a hamer, damn that fucking spring shit comes out with some force lol
