So I want to make 2 manifolds for my venture into b-series. I've got a b16a3 sol now (beater) which I'll eventually turbo, and I'll eventually be putting a built b18a1 into my turbo d16 coupe (ls head 1st, then ls-v). I'd be using the b18a1 for mockup. I want to make manifolds/downpipes that will work on both. I know the B18 deckheight is ~.3" more and the oil pans are basicly the same, but what about the exhaust flange itself? Is it higher/lower, or stick out more/less between the LS and b16 heads?
I know its probably not enough to worry about, but I don't want to spend time on something that won't fit. :?:

the only difference is the block height. everything else i pretty basically the same. as long as the dp clearance isn't super tight to the oil pan on a b16 specific setup it should fit any other b series.

Even the GSR? I thought there was even less space due to the girdle deal. Not that it matters to me much, just good to know if I sell stuff.
I'm not exactly a B-guy. I've always had D's to motorboat... :P

i built a mini ram with a downpipe for a local guy with a 99 SI 2 weeks ago and mocked it all up on an LS. i just used one of these really thick ching chong turbo gaskets and built the DP so you could just fit a piece of paper in between the oil pan and dp and it fit the B16 perfect.
