cool ive been waiting to here something one way or the other on delta cams. Ive got an h23 head ive been thinking about sending them the cams from for a long time now.

I can get you a hookup price on NIB Crower cam, springs, retainers.  Also, a ported head.  It's the big stage 3 cams, FYI.  LMK.

You'll get the same mpg if you tune the car, you neanderthal.  A lumpy cam generates less vacuum which will cause it to run rich if you're using a stock fuel map.
Only old bald people tune part throttle, normal people tune WOT and power through everything else

Well, the cams are broke in, just went and did some shakedown runs down the unpopulated roads. Put it in 2nd and at 3k I floored it and by 5k, the tires screaming......lol Car runs great. My idle vac now is sitting at around 17-15 instead of the normal 22-20. But i dont have any hesitation like i have always had at the 3k mark. She perked right up with thise cams. Now im realy curious on how this fucker is gona do under boost!! Ive definatly have some tuning to do now. Cars running a little lean at wot, and rich at cruise beacuse ive never fine tuned that part of my fuel map.

Because it's not mad tyte jdm or has vtaks.

F's have the same amount of potential as any B series with the same amount of money put into it. Sure, there are no great OEM performance parts, but you can make some pretty sick OEM franks with some nice torque numbers.

So was I.  So far only the 1.2 regrinds for D16 have shown themselves to be intermittently defective.  I was super impressed by the F23 cam he did for AFAccord, and it was obviously mild (entry level grind) by the idle so adding a turbo is a no brainer.  Breathing on it would have been a 200-210 whp at 3 psi sort of proposition with everything else in the longblock stock. 

I'm not saying he/Webb is the only place who can grind a cam like that, it could be one of those motors that comes alive easily with a cam, it's just hard to recommend something I haven't seen results from with how a lot of stuff sucks.

Now I know that this is totally off the subject, but they picked up a 92gst eclipse and did nothing more than replace the cams, NO TUNING AT ALL, NO UPPING THE BOOST, NOTHING BUT CAMS, and picked up 27 whp. And they said it ran/idled great. Call them and see what they say. Ask for Dan, (owner) Or scott(works front counter)

I will even make it easy on you....

Im not debating that I spent more than half of my youth messing with all motor d16's so I understand the philosophy behind it. Most people will want out of the box a motor that makes more power and can do so with oem parts. Its why k series motors have become so popular.


Everybody as their style but I do enjoy seeing an underdog build. I am working on a vitaara d16a1 and a high compression 85mm b20b w/p8r head so Im down for odd ball shit.

Well guys, Ive got a new problem. I pull up to the bank today and I notice a little oil puddle under my car, and its coming from the snatch can. So i come home and I pull the filter to see how much oil is in there, and HOLLY FUCK. Ive got a good 3/4 of a qt in there. In case you guys didnt see it back on page 8 here is the catch can.


ANd here is the lines to it from my vc.



So I have no clue why there would be that much oil in there. Im still running my pcv valve. So why the fuck would there be so much oil in there? Do I need to make a baffle in my vc so it dosent just fling the oil in there? Assuming thats what its doing.

With your setup I would put the can higher than the fitting on the cover. Maybe liquid oil is going into the can instead of vapor.

Well, you have to have baffling else you just hooked to oil hoses to the valve cover. And as mentioned, the can needs to be higher than the valve cover for it any oil that does get in the lines to drain back.
