if i cant get this injector driver box sorted out I am going to buy those new 1000's that t1 runs and get rid of it. If I do that I am going to get one of those fancy bosch inline pump to make sure I have enough pressure.

Whats your issue exactly?? I looked and didn't see what size injectors your running,

If your having issues with tuning big injectors, i have a box that will solve your issues, if it doesn't make tuning your car that much easier, í'd be glad to refund your money. And if your on ectune, i could send you a map that should start up and run well. I'm running a set of 2200's at 50lbs of base fuel pressure, my shit starts right up and idles like a champ.

I don't know what his issue's are but he is running 1600's and an FJO driver box. Leed has been doing the tuning and should be able to fill you in on what the issues are. He is running ectune.

Just attach your license plate to the intercooler and you have a 2-1 bumper/intercooler. Nothing rubs and everyone will stay the fuck out of your way.

I am going to trim the bumper. Dont need crackheads pulling off my BOV and trying to sell it.

the email I have sent FJO

Sorry there is something weird going on with my phone, it doesn't let me write emails.

Here is my reply to our previous emails.

This car originally never had a resistor box installed. The other thing I was thinking of was that the stumble may be repeatable from injector usage percentages.( Like when the injectors get to a certain percentage of duty cycle/load it gets a weird signal) I am going to rip apart my harness this weekend and take a bunch of pictures to show where it is connected to and where the box receives its power/ground from.

Does the injector driver box use constant power or does it have to get its power from the injector power via the harness.

From my understanding the injector driver box receives the high impedance signal from the harness, converts it to low impedance and boosts the power or signal power to the injector letting big injectors have a higher quality signal. Do I have this correct or am I totally off the ball.

Thanks,

Levi

Levi,

That is definitely a wierd problem. Since th box doesn't sense throttle position I would have to assume it is something else. Can you tell us what wires you have connected to where in detail. Also, if you had a resistor box before - you did remove it when you installed this unit correct?

If you called and got a busy signal, there were some lines cut by a truck in this area which may be the reason.

Subject: Injector Drive box problems?

Injector driver box. V1.0? car honda civic GSR motor RC 1600 injectors stock ecu w/ecutune I have a weird issue while running your injector driver box.

The car seems to run quite rich and fall on its face completely at a repeatable throttle position (around 10" of vacuum) Doesnt matter what I change within the map the problem does not go away.

This does not change( had a different motor, different ECU, different injectors) all the same problem of falling on its face when at part throttle( full throttle or 2% throttle this issue does not happen) Have I wired it incorrectly? Is my box faulty?

Was this an issue that you fixed with V2.0? I have followed the directions supplied to a T. FYI your phone does not work. Thank you for your time,

Hate to see so much work to be put into this car and have something small cause a big fucking issue. Keep trying, until you hit 700whp, there's not turning back now, lol.
Best EJ coupe ever, at least the motor/turbo setup is.

I would say if nothing else its pretty, but purple really doesnt do it for me.

Dizzy problem perhaps?  Injection timing (from what the computer sees) isnt matching mechanical timing?  Dead spot in the TPS? (i didnt see where you tried/tested it) Since you can affect it with throttle position, id start my thought process there and work backward.

- cant be dizzy, used a different one. & wiring worked good when it was NA
- could be TPS( but i am sure leed checked on that)
- how would i check mechanical timing from injection timing? take out the box and see if it works?

Ive followed your build for quite some time now, just bite the bullet and get the injector dynamic 1000cc injectors, i have a set and it idles e85 perfect, none of that annoying popping and crackling you normally get with the bigger cc low impedance injectors, everything on your build seem top quality why be stuck in the past with old injector technology  ;D

Local buddy of mine broke his racersteve heat treated GSR gearset. Broke fourtgh completely, making ALOT less power than youre tryuing for. Sell that shit and source yourself a tranny Levi. Theres a drag cartell 4 speed with cuff and LSD... COmplete tranny for sale for 3500 on HT... Id look at something along the lines of that before you frag what you have. I told you you will, and was curious as to how long. but judging from Ryans R breaking his (VERY nicely I might add)...

I think we both overestimated the Heat treating. By a good bit.
