i talked to my body guy and he said its just like painting a normal car. The only exception is you throw a flat'tner in the clear so that it washes and cleans like a normal car.

that way if i get bored of it he can just sand down the clear and then reclear it to look like a glossy black

I say sand the clear that's on it so it's matte purple. You get the matte look you want but it's a bit different and doesn't look like you just couldn't afford paint.

I've never seen "quality hotrod black" In the Levi's city there are a ton of flat black rattle can jobs and black primer jobs done in the trailer parks and it will likely get lumped in with them as another war pony. I was trying to offer a cheap solution as he has an extensive list of wants this winter and it would look better than metallic gloss barney purple. I do however love the look of a quality matte black from what I've seen online.

I cut my M&H's on my fender, there is a very large and deep gash on the sidewall of the one and I am not going to be doing high speed manuveros with that kinda liability. They were resorted to fitting things and burnouts.

mounted coil below the jump terminal away from heat source

and under the center console easy access to control panel, plus it needs to stay cool

the metal plate in your glovebox is a supposed to help keep you in your seat in the event of an accident, so you dont slide under your seatbelt... At least thats what ive heard

I have a gallon of flat hardener and a half gallon of flat black base coat :-D

Moving the brake lines out of the engine bay looks good. On a car i'm working on right now we have everything tucked, no booster or master cylinder. Used the Tilton Peddle setup ( http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TIL-72-603/ you still have to buy 3 master cylinders)
