shooting for 10's in the si for 2010 the 60-1 turbo took a shit on me so i got a killer deal on a holset turbo. i had to shave the head n the compressor housing a lil bit to get it to fit :noel: so now all i got left to do is injectors, get rid of the aebs intake manifold n replace it with the edelbrock intake manifold n get the 74mm tb and a battery relocation in the trunk so i could fit my new catch can set up n get the car tuned on race gas on 30psi

i've been running these pistons for three years now pretty dam strong i use to beat the shit out the car everyday..now since the trans took a shit me again i just took it off the road so im just using the car for the track n sum $ runs now

All that's needed is a plate, a block, a tube (return), holes in the appropriate spots, and gasoline-safe sealant. But you definately got a deal on that stuff.

wish i could find deals like you. Nice looking build. I have a friend that bought some used probe pistons and eagle rods. He assembled the block and the pistons had play so he took it apart. Im tempted to snatch up those pistons. Let me see if i can have him send me the video, so i can post it in another thread. Not trying to thread jack your bu build thread.

ok change of plans i pulled the dual walbro set up off the car because i picked up a sleeved block for dirt cheap so i'm saving the dual pump set up for the 700hp+ build coming soon :noel: now its got a single 255 walbro in with the 850 injectors along with the intake manifold and 70mm throttle body..the car is getting tuned on race gas in 2 weeks 8)

no times yet everytime i went to the track something went wrong the first time i took it the boost controller was fucked up the second time i took it the trans wouldnt shift into second but i got that shit all fixed now :noel:

No, this is not what happened. When you jump time enough to bang a valve, you bang all of them in all the cylinders. However, when you stave some valves into a piston, it's not uncommon to jump time between the increase in force between cam and crank and the engine loading/unloading as this happens.
The most likely answer is either simple mechanical failure of an OEM part taken beyond it's limits - whether you were cruising or not at the moment of failure has exactly jack and shit to do with what the valve has been through and any metal fatigue it's undergone. The other alternative, very likely, is that the head had a bent valve at some point that cracked a guide. Valve gets replaced, guide is still fucked up and the replacement valve hangs open and fucks some shit up.

Also, I'd rather have Ferrea valvetrain than anything. Nothing against Manley, but their shit hasn't been around as long to know wtf is up with it, and the slight chance they sell repackaged KMS/Supertech/china makes me queasy.

the first run was a 13.5 with a shitty 60 foot.. the bf's drags i got on are def to small i ran out of forth gear like 10 feet before the clock so i just stood on the gas hitting the rev limit passing the clock..
nah no wheel hop. no traction bar either but looking to getting one of those soon first i need to get some slicks for this bitch :noel: the second run the car hooked second pretty good then boom!!!! i also lost my center cap n part of the axle must have kicked up n put a hole in my coolant hose also >:(

are 850cc injectors big enough for e85 and the kind of boost you're running? I don't know myself, but it seems like you'd be running something that size for just regular gasoline on 22psi?

Max on a honda with 55psi/850cc/E85 will be around 525whp. Most I'd do is 475whp. Just don't crank the base pressure with those injectors. That Delphi style doesn't like it much.

updated took the car off the road was paying for insurance every month n i was barely driving it
the car is still same stock ls on e85 on 22psi original factory headgasket with arp's the car sat all year in 2013 went to 1 event went to 2 events in 2014 but did 11.5@117 :noel:
in 2015 fixed a bunch of shit took it to maryland cecil dragway in dec went 11.5@115 had a prob with the car was pulling left out the hole n havin some wheel spin in 1st and 2nd she got more in her 8) will update some pics later n vid
