Never hurts to call the issue with going big is running out of base circle on the cam, you can only cram so much lift/dur "inside" the stock lobe.

i love being done with school  :mexi:

gotta stay organized all the bearings will be recycled back into the motor they look minty fresh

should I keep going deeper with the notch? I used a pice of 3/4 tape to mark out the width then i went about 1/4 inch up into the sleve and 1/4 back into the block and connected

im having an issue with the rocker assembly such a pain in the ass and it wont set down flat over the cam  any tips on installing it? im fallowing the helms manual

cam at TDC, all the adjusters loose, make sure non of the rockers are binding(this is where vtec SUCKS lol) and it wont go down over the cam, some of the rockers are also suer tight over the valve spring. I emailed crower to see if there is a diff between in/ex springs

Had similar issues but I just got all the cam cap bolts in and slowly tighten down from center out.

One turn at a time. :?:

But it worked, I'm using the same springs w/ a stock y8 cam ATM. ;D

yeah the helms says that i should do it one turn at a time, the thing that worries me is that once of the rockers is sooooooo tight on top of the spring even with the adjustment bolt turned all the way out

im gonna hop out and try it again

Yeah watch the valve end of the rockers so they do not get caught on the edge of the valve stem.

If you do it one at turn a time you just look the valve stems and see when the rocker tips get stuck. ;D

well i got the rocker assembly on no problem, just worked noce and slow and it went on but for some reason the cam will NOT turn over im trying to get it so i can adjust the valves.

I think the royal purple lube is just to freaking sticky and its just not letting it spin easy at all.

92cxyd good tip worked great

before porting:

a nice 90 turn should help flow :D

she looks so tight needs loosening

after

forgot to get a before sorry but was all just sharp 90* shit

looks rougher then it is but will be better then the sharp corner

opened up!

oil temp location fluxcore OWNS ALL

shocker your ass china snail!

got the oil warmer on now to figure out how the hell i should plumb it, any tips?

I ran one hose that goes to the heater first to the oil cooler/heater then to the heater core.

Worked for me. ;D

Or look at the hose routing for the VX model and use their routing.

wouldnt that mean it would only be warming/cooling if the heat was on?

ill have to flip through the helms on redpepperracing.com but the pics are fucking HUGE so its a pain to look at

also got this off a b18 or some shit not a VX
