Whats going on guys. Im new to the site as you can tell by my user name. Before i get flamed for this or that i want to point out im using this site for learning purposes. any negative comments please keep to yourself.
So like the subject states i've been getting a boost cut. I was told maybe i'm running on a cold motor which isnt the case cause i'll let her idle for 4 minutes and drive around for about 15 mins before i get on it. It has been tuned for 14 pounds on a stock gsr. "head is somewhat built". I am running an open downpipe if that has anything to do with it but i dont think thats the problem cause it was tuned with an open downpipe. Any help is appericated.

you are creeping boost
look into the wastegate
-
so im checking for leaks in my vaccum lines?
-
Details about your setup are needed. We dont know whats under your hood, what turbo, wastegate, etc.

You are not exempt from noob hazing, especially with your lack of a proper noob post. Zip up your flame suit.

This is not your regular forum!
You need to do an intro post that has:
Your car
your set up
porn
and a brief story about how you found US and about yourself
And I don't think your running OPENDOWNPIPE :somb:

14psi on a stock GSR? I'll have to assume its a stock MAP sensor since you've posted zero info. The stock MAP sensor can only read to ~11psi. If the tuner enabled boost cut, the highest he could set it is ~11.3psi or so. If the wastegate was set to anything over that, it will hit boost cut as soon as your near peak boost.
There is no way to have boost cut functioning and running more than ~11psi with a stock MAP sensor. End of story.

alrite thanks for the info.
It looks like i need to post about the car, myself, and some pics of porn before i make any or replies or post.
-
He has a GM 3bar I think ???
Its not a stock map
I told him to do a good intro post so hopefully he will cover all the bases...
-

what exactly is the problem? other than putting boost cut in your title.
What exactly happens??? breaking up, no fuel, no spark, other? Got a wideband in it?
If your turbo has a nipple on the compressor housing, connect your wastegate to it and see what it does.
