it must have a bad head gasket, it runs fine and boosts fine, but its pressurizing the coolant, and got some foam and bubbles.

i'll probably wait a while, but gets some MLS head gaskets and arp head studs, and get the heads rebuilt... since they have a couple bolts broken off in them

damn that always sucks but might as well do it right next time and get everything milled while you are at it, ive wasted so much time in the past trying to do as little as possible to seal a head, you might as well mill, new mls gasket and arps. good looking dog mang

yah thanks on the doggggg hes a great dog.

yeah i might fix it right. the turbo kit is really tight so i don't really want to take it apart.

i have to take off the compressor housing to get the turbo off

yah the head gasket "fixer" fixed it. cools like normal. im afraid to boost on it, but the bottle literally says good for diesels, and my 3.0 duramax is 40+psi

also, i had kinda forgot it had this problem when if first got it a couple years ago, the sealer worked for like 2 years including like 6 months of 10+psi

so whatever, maybe i'll fix it right this winter. but i do daily this truck so winter is still boosting weather.

i fixed the two bolts that were broken off in the drivers side exhaust manifold / head

my plan actually worked perfectly, i left the manifold on and used the holes as a guide for the drill bit, drilled them out, took manifold off and tapped the holes with 3/8 bolt and it worked great and they tighten up, manifold doesn't leak when cold anymore.

i should've left the manifold on and tapped the bolt holes in the manifold as well as the head, then i could've left the vbands alone... oh wel

the big problem, and why i didn't want to do this for so long, since after a min  or two of running the heat would fix the leak... now the vbands are leaking  like a bitch and these cheap ones are single use...

i should have two clamps coming monday and then maybe i won't have any exhaust leaks lol

i'll probably throw some head gasket sealer in it for a while. its supposed to be good for diesels and my 21 gmc runs 40+psi of boost

GMC 40+ psi boost, diesel?

yeah its a 3.0 duramax. i watched it a few times through the obd2 port and it hit like 42psi

i ran around trying to get it to relearn the idle and i boosted on it a few times and it ran good and pulled like it should, didn't overheat or do anything weird.

seems good to go now. we'll see tho

also pulled the chevelle out and went for a cruise  O0
