A keeper failed and decided to drop the valve and piston+valve=MAYHEM. So i had some time on Monday to do some work. I moved the battery to the trunk and started doing a small wire tuck. Not a crazy wire tuck, but just cleaning it up a little. You can also see the kinda work bench i got on military housing.

Right now, I say it's a work in progress. I will have some time today to finish the wiring, and I'm trying to get the block out tomorrow. Only problem is I don't have a engine stand or engine crane. It's going to be done with man power.

If you have a jack and some tires I've seen people lower the whole car down to where the engine is sitting on the tires,  and then a piece of 4x4 wood stuck behind the engine across where your feet would be in the car and shove the jack under the 4x4 you can jack it up high enough to pull the engine out.

This how I've down all my civics except I use a couple of low profile jack under engine.  :noel:

I have two jacks and have some wood, I think we are just going to do it that way. Also did about an hour of work finishing the battery, all the wires under the passenger side and ran the three to the starter, and fuses. In Washington we have a pully in the rafters and pully it out and in lol.

Well the valve train is still usable. I bought more to replace the ones that went bad. So it's going to be mostly a bare head when I'm done with it

I will put some of it up tomorrow. We spent 2 hours getting the motor out today. We lifted the body up and dropped the motor out. I'm cleaning up the engine bay and getting everything organized tomorrow.

I took the block apart today and also had a look at the turbo and found a huge handful of metal shavings. I thought my turbo was gone, but thankfully nothing is wrong with it and I will attempt to take better pictures of the damage next time i work on the car.
