from what my friend said, last time he went by there, his wall is holding and there neigbors dike failed, so they ringed there house.

and there holding off water at the moment.

although some parts of moorhead and fargo have been evacuated in case the dikes fail more, and they have the contengency dikes set up in case they do fail.

i do know one guy who was fighting some crazy overland flooding down south of town, and he had hesco's all around his place, and liek 6+ pumps to keep the water out. last he said he was driving through 1.5-2" of water that was over the road to get to his house.

good to see everything is still holding up for you joel.

North of west fargo I'm on my own little fucking island.  We're all parked on the highway and have to put on our waders to get to the house. I've already stepped off the road into the ditch once and got water to damn near my neck.

We're going to beat this fucker!

Hey, not to be a cock or anything, but where I'm from we don't build on flood plains.

shit in vegas you can't have any house insurance if you live in a flood zone.
both apts we lived in and the house we bought had a paper we had to sign saying we understand that the property is not in a flood zone.

vegas is a little different there. 1 miniute it can be sunny and no clouds, and then there is a crazy downpore for 45 min. and streets are flooding in areas.  the ground there doesn't take any moister it seems.

when i lived there last it was odd to see "flooding" after a rain storm. but they are smarter then fargo in the fact that they build proper strom sewers/ diversions for the water.

Smarter... or vegas has access to a larger pool of tax money.

well last i heard north dakota had tons of spare money sitting around, so it isn't a money issue.

Vegas has MASSIVE underwater tunnels to divert flash flood waters... look it up.

BTW, the homemade flood wall looked awesome, held strong.
