Title: Panda Express @ home... recipe
Post by: JACER63 on January 21, 2010, 12:41:22 AM
so my wife and i found this @ costco the other day and thought we give it a whirl....

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi211.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fbb221%2Fjacer63%2FPicture038-1.jpg&hash=30cff4cd233bedc9e4489e5caf95ea8974cb27b0)

so what we used was 1.5 lbs. boneless chicken breast.
cubed it up

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi211.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fbb221%2Fjacer63%2FPicture040-2.jpg&hash=9d7ded630281c42b1d43e29390bb43a1baccc4d5)
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi211.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fbb221%2Fjacer63%2FPicture041-1.jpg&hash=101fd05545ae5be7adf15e767827ad8b3248caac)

mix liberal amount of flour with cornstarch for the dry rub
3 eggs and 1 tspn  milk
then heat oil in a wok to 350-375 deg.
we used veggy oil about 6 cups..

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi211.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fbb221%2Fjacer63%2FPicture036-1.jpg&hash=e0189b289991c31848aa9c445bf62e2dd92a9dbd)

take cubes of chicken  flour then egg and fry...

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi211.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fbb221%2Fjacer63%2FPicture042.jpg&hash=582735b23f96262a310f8edc0d0474633dc8b7e3)

once all chicken is done  place on paper towel to rest for a min while you prep sauce...

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi211.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fbb221%2Fjacer63%2FPicture043.jpg&hash=31bd62a76b879165dd6961ba957e94eea7dd86c0)
like so.....

only use 1/3 of bottle for sauce.. place in a sauce pan on med/low heat
then add chicken..

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi211.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fbb221%2Fjacer63%2FPicture044-1.jpg&hash=ebfeca7f7acb836191b87f2f3fbf4d78702808d3)

stir until all chicken is slathered , then let warm for a min..

for the rice its easy as pie... on the stove 2 cups water for 1 cup rice  bring water to boil,
add rice, then reduce heat to low, cook for 8-10 min on LOW  then remove from heat.
dont touch it,  let it sit till rest of dish is ready.

place rice in bowls or whatever you wish...

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi211.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fbb221%2Fjacer63%2FPicture045-1.jpg&hash=0afe36b151fa03023a58e12ec5f9bac5576b37af)

then add the all mighty OC !!!

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi211.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fbb221%2Fjacer63%2FPicture046.jpg&hash=f0d2b843f4d40bde7ccf0c447a6a18ca1efb89ff)

the shit does taste just like the real deal!! ;D

this will make 3 full size portions..

ok

Damn, 81 miles away is the closest.

Is it a particular brand or only carried at their store?
