Title: New turbo tech site i'm starting
Post by: marcj on February 08, 2010, 08:02:19 AM
Today I had the day to myself, so I spent some time and put together a new site for publishing tech articles. Obviously my first post was about Holset, which includes a good detailed summary from a DSM owner explaining the attributes of the more popular holset turbos. (the content posted was done for testing purposes and will be revised with much better Holset info ASAP).

I wanted to get your opinions, suggestions, criticism, etc.

http://integralmotorsports.com (http://integralmotorsports.com)

Also, If you would like to publish some technical articles, PM me your ideas, and if your article is submitted and becomes popular, you may be able to make some decent money over a long period of time.

I don't know what it is exactly, but I'm not too keen on the layout.  I know the lacking of a kickass logo is one thing but...I dunno, it looks like it was a free template on the web that got edited in a hurry.  Not trying to be a dick.  Is it a wordpress theme?

So you just copy/pasted something from a site that 99% of us have bookmarked? Great idea ::)

Sarcasm aside, I hope it's just a starting point, and will have some OC (both the panda kind, and the original content)

There is your idea for your "kickass logo". A bucket of fucking OC, and maybe some cheap MS paint violations of someone to be voted upon.

I saw nothing in that article mentioning the DSMtard's sheering the turbine shafts in two with their mitsufeces/holset adapter housings?

Looks more like a blog than a tech site. By looking at it, I can't say what it's really is. Put some car in the background maybe? Turbo?

yeah it's a blog script (wordpress) i'm using to easily publish useful tech articles; I'm hoping it gets high ranking for a few good keywords on google.

If you want fucking google rankings, start a fucking "celebrity porn site". Not holsets. I think we need to work as a community to keep the holsets on the low low (as much as can be done anyway), so as to not drive their fucking prices through the roof.
Start a site with pics of the mitsu/holets failure, say its a holset, and curse them. Spread the word that they aren't meant for gas engines  :noel:

Keywords are a great way to get a high ranking on Google.  Oh wait - *looks at calendar and realizes it's not 1995 anymore*

i'm not focusing on holsets, man.. i agree 200%
However, If people are typing in Holset in google, and find an article on my site about Holsets, i'm going to assume they already know about them.  ::)

Try to explain this supply and demand theory to all the faggots who list their "mods" on every high trafficked car forum.

Now you're just spewing non-sense replies. I didn't say anything about trying to get high rank with keywords, doofus.

I guess you're going to tell me keywords aren't a variable in the algorithm for google ranking structure. LOL

Does that happen a lot?

More often than a Holset should on a small displacement gas engine.  Dunno why, but I personally know 2 people who have had this problem, and have heard of many more.  I doubt its the CHRA's fault...

I have sheared one with the upgraded 60mm compressor wheel. Albeit it was at 55psi, just a little out of the compressor map.  :D

Making WAY more power and running much harder than these folks. Ive briefly discussed the issue with others who are brighter than myself, and the thought is compressor surge, but nobody has steped up to identify the issue. Honda guys with the 12cm housing maxing out the compressor arent breaking them like this, so I blame the BEP housings and genral dsmretardedness.

Send Tim's shit, nagger.

it was refunded.. the crank has some discolored lines where the rod bearings were, and even though I tried to get it packed up and ready to ship, it just never worked out due to priorities taking up my time ie. work, forced and unexpected moving, caring for my newborn child, college, driving my wife to and from work, supporting a family, etc.. I was pretty much giving it to him any way ($45). If you faggots have a problem with me refunding Tim instead of shipping an LS block for $45, then don't buy my uber cheap deals and shut the fuck up. Everyone has at least one bad transaction, this was mine.

DSMs shear off turbine shafts regardless of the brand of turbo used.

The whole idea of stuffing a Holset, or Garrett, into a Mitsufeces housing is in order to retain the stock failure manifold so you are assured of not making decent power with the boost turned up.
