I'm really on the fence here. I'm kinda in a tight money situation (under $1k banked), but some local has a bare B18C5 that's sleeved by benson (name machined in) for $500. My plans probably won't require sleeves for at least a year or three. But this just seems like a steal (pun intended - ITR!).
I figure I'll only need streetable power, since I'm not a weekend racer type. Generally speaking 400whp is about that limit, and doesn't really require sleeves.
I guess this brings me to the next question - anyone want a sleeved ITR, no crank/pan/head, for $750? :P

650; WHATS THE BORE SIZE/

Whats up that sleeve sir?

You don't need sleeves for 400. You don't need the girdle in the bottom end, either. Although both are nice to have if you go any higher.
It's not that great of a deal in this economy. Jew the guy down a bill if you spen the money.

As mentioned earlier, in this economy, if you have money and a secure job, your golden. Total buyers market right now.

except here in Canada
people still want the same price they wanted 6 months ago O0

I know I wouldn't need either for 400, I'm just stuck with that 'future value of money' equation in my head from accounting class. $500 now would be like $750 when I would need sleeves later, and it would cost over $1k for just a B18 sleeved by GE.
He also has some new Precision 1k injectors for $150, I might really lowball him, try $450 for both. If I could sell my EF I'd have no prob doing that. I'd have to ask what the bore size is.

i would go with a used LS block instead.. a good tune, rod & piston combo will handle your goal just fine.

lowball him for the injectors too

If its 84mm or less buy it otherwise don't bother.

Talk to every military buddy you have, make them talk to their friends. If the car is remotely clean, with every military guy on the face of the planet getting $10k+ re-enlistment bonuses the market for $10K and under toy cars is booming.

What's up with the second year? :P
If you only have 1k$ in your bank account keep it. Your sleeved block will not pay your bills :-\
