Laptop died, I'm on another computer right now. It was working last night. I went to sleep. At like 4am on sundays, it does an automatic update and restarts. I wake up this morning and I have a blank black screen. I restart and get a blue screen saying : Stop Error 0x0000007e (0xC000001D, 0x80837008, 0xBA4CB3B8, 0xBA4CB0B4)Tried restarting, restarting in safemode, nothing works.
Googled it and found this link: http://blogs.technet.com/msrc/archive/2010/02/17/update-restart-issues-after-installing-ms10-015-and-the-alureon-rootkit.aspx (http://blogs.technet.com/msrc/archive/2010/02/17/update-restart-issues-after-installing-ms10-015-and-the-alureon-rootkit.aspx)
How do I fix this?
EDIT: fixed error codes

Pull HD, run it as an external. Run on a Linux base comp, back up what you need. Then reinstall windows.
Other way is run a Linux live cd, back up what you need, then reinstall windows.

is your windows legit?
that happened to me when i had a pirated one
-
You're welcome bro. I told you it would work.
-
what did u end up doing?
-
I mistyped the error codes when I posted this, so I retyped them. Haven't fixed anything on the laptop. It has XP windows XP, it's the legal copy dell put on it 3.5 years ago.
I don't know how to pull the HD, and dont have a linux based computer. Guess I'm taking this thing to a shop to get it fixed tomorrow. :-\

Just open the bottom panels and the hard drive should be right there. A shop will probably rape you on charges.
-
If you have a windows xp cd, boot from it and choose repair.

You can turbo a Miata, but can't remove a HD from a fucking laptop?
