Title: anybody in the burbank/hollywood CA area??

have a friend who's out there for film school, and his wifes beetle turbo is having problems and the place he took it to said it was fixed, and the next day it overheated and now they say they need to rebuild it. i think they are trying to fuck him over.
he knows nothing about cars, so do any of you know a good shop??
hopefully cheap too?
