Title: official HOTREX NIGGA VOLVO BUILD. home stretch 5/10 pics added
Post by: hotrex on March 04, 2010, 07:06:22 PM: so here i was ripping through craigslist. stumbled across a 91 740 turbo wagon with a/t for 400. it didnt run. i go get it, get it home and he fuel pump is dead. i drop in a TRE 255lph hp unit bypass the stocker and she fired. no boost i inspect the stock 13c ate itself. so here we are again. another hooktastic mediocre volvo build.

MEATY tubular sidewinder manifold w/ 38mm gate
MEATY pie cut stainless vband 3 inch dp
MEATY 2.5 inch alum chargepipes with type s knockoff
ebay cosworth bar and plate cooler with the in/out modded by me.,

dodge 4 bar
master power 60-1
TLAO chipped 967 and 146 ecus
aem wideband
enem v15 cam and geAR

no dyno tuning necessary/. drive it around and it learns. fucking crazy.. im pumped to cook the tires.

the valve cover is off my old 740 sedan. i think im going to retire it though as i have another oneimwelding -10 bungs into for my catchcan setup. prob do the new one candy red or bronze or some shit

Post by: hotrex on May 11, 2010, 07:18:43 AM: jd the pump was a tre 255lph hp and its junk. looking for a walbro equivilent rightnow. i will build an intake manifold next, but i want to do one side of the motor at a time i want to see it go solid mid 12s on boost and maybe high 11s on the jug as it sits then over the winter im looking at a ford 8.8 rear with 3.90 gearset a turbo400 tranny and a worked head and pistons/rods megasquirt. im by no means done here just wanted to get to going for the summer.

bignig why wont it idle in the summer without getting hot.
