I was working two jobs, 1 full-time, 1 part-time, full-time Engineering student (21 credit hrs./semester), and a full -time father of four kids. I manage to get degrees in Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics.
I always found time to to log on to OHMT (2yrs. ago)
It is all about time management, I'd get up at 5:00 am and go to bed at 12:00 am Mon thru Thurs., 5:00am to 2:00am Fri., and 7:00am to 10:00 pm Sat. and Sun (got to sleep in).
On the vacation periods I catch-up, work ahead, with my homework, work on my cars, and sleep more. :yes:

at first i didnt feel the need to post in here but now i think ill add my marcj experience. this was last summer i believe i bought a cheap z6 head he had. from what i read in his for sale thread i was expecting more but what i recieved was a box poorly packaged. and by poorly i mean a few package peanuts for a head in a baby diaper box. half the retainers in this bag was missing the few valves that were there was just thrown anywhere they fit. luckily i didnt pay extra for shipping lol. basically i bought a blank head. should of sold it as a blank head. wasnt happy but wasnt overly pissed to bring it up to him. just stayed away from buying stuff from him.

yeah, I made 120 yesterday working 6 hours, and I basically just walk back and forth to tables bringing drinks and getting sauces, napkins, etc. this past week I did about 500 in tips working a few doubles, and that's not including my hourly @ 4.25
It's funny, I've done wood flooring (busting ass) to make a measly 50 a day.

My experiences were one person has a habit and introduced it to others and in the end using a bit. A few would actually get a full blown habit. The only people that keep your nose clean are the Mexican line workers. The actually need the money they make. They weren't afraid to knock a few back after a long day though.
Marc is white trash who is bragging about making $600/week so I'm sure he thinks it's cool to spend hundreds of dollars a week on Meth.

You never put years in an environment like that, and if you aren't into that shit it takes years of trying to rail late teenage hostesses and waitresses before you realize what's going on in the rest of the restaurant. It's part time work, check the operational hours some time vs how the places are staffed. It is also very difficult to put up with people and their bullshit, if I worked 40 hours a week I'd kill myself within a month. I know people who have, and do, and they make nice money but they also climb into a bottle sometimes before the shift has ended.
In all honesty, I'd like to roll the clock back 2-3 years and work 20-25 hours a week in a restaurant (or other) gig while scheduling dyno tunes on my 3-4 days a week "off". I made 43K the second year I went to school full time by doing that, could have broken 50 in that economy if I'd pursued it, and if you want a week off on sudden notice it's easy to hand off a couple shifts. Frankly, it's time to get a desk job like most losers with my amount of education. Pffffft.

restaurant jobs are super flexible.. for instance, I thought I had to work tonight, so lauren picked up a shift.. found out I didn't have to work, and was able to pick up a shift as well.. I could work doubles constantly if I wanted to, because given the opportunity, people will work just enough to get by.
coming in at 11:30am is another perk. I don't see how most people get up at 5am to drive an hour to work and make $8-$10 an hour.

Paid feb 19, showed up today. Check out the sweet packaging job. Also not noted in the post was the main body of the wastegate had a bolt broken off in it, one hole was cross threaded and fucked and the bolt for the bango into the bottom of the gate was broken off with obvious attempts to vice grip it out. Will see how well removing it goes but thats pretty much fucked. Did get a nice new oil pump as promised but the more important bearings that I really needed never showed.

you failed to mention any open holes were taped shut on the turbo.. explains why you didn't show the turbo in the box. i've received turbos the same way. if you don't take the turbo apart and inspect before you run you're lazy. Oh, and the turbo was wrapped in plastic grocery bags, many times. there was no way you'd get a peanut in that turbo without removing the bags.. you're a slandering degenerate fool; go kill yourself.

Fortunately for you I keep ALL of my PMs. In not one of these did you ever mention anything about the issues with the wastegate. You did mention that you would ship the bearings but at this point I am running out of time and may be forced to source them somewhere else. I have decided after how many times you have forgotten what you have said and or offered and I have continually had to quote previous emails to remind you of things that I am going to withdraw my offer to build your manifold. As soon as any parts arrive, I will ship them to you at my cost. I will also refund the money you have sent to me via paypal ASAP. The planning for this alone has been sketchy on what I was going to get from you and I do not want to go in the red over this.
Below is an example of the flakiness that is giving me cold feet and making me not want to do this project. And you have the nerve to ask me if I drink alot?
