Title: Oil pump seal replacement

How many of you nogs on here have changed the oil pump seal? Is it possible to change the seal without removing the oil pump.

what more do i have to tell you????   i dont think you want to take off the oil pump to replace it. 


-poke a hole in the seal

-drive screw in

-pull with pliers

-put thin film of silicone on outside of seal and coat the inside with white lithium greese

- push seal in by hand

-use old seal and small hammer to seat it in all the way

He's right, I tried a vaccuum cleaner (20amp, 50whorepower suction), and it wouldn't even work.

I like a 90* pick seems to fucking work. But I do have a cam/crank seal puller that I never use.
