Title: Oil pump seal replacement
Post by: Gold DA9 on March 15, 2010, 06:10:48 PM: How many of you nogs on here have changed the oil pump seal? Is it possible to change the seal without removing the oil pump.

-poke a hole in the seal

-drive screw in

-pull with pliers

-put thin film of silicone on outside of seal and coat the inside with white lithium greese

- push seal in by hand

-use old seal and small hammer to seat it in all the way

He's right, I tried a vaccuum cleaner (20amp, 50whorepower suction), and it wouldn't even work.
