How fast do these refresh? Any faster than a mac mentor or snap on scan tool?
-
The refresh rate is going to be all over the place, sometimes the hold up is the scanner but a lot of times it is the ECU.

I think I've been spoiled lately with the sct,big stuff, accel, and my sneec set up. Looking for the cheap alternative for other vehicles.
-
I agree completely. Sometimes the mark-specific stuff stomps the hell out of any generic OBD2 scanner.
I like SCT's datalogging package so much that I have a (locked?) Xcal with a burned out screen I use for logging through my laptop. I just picked up a locked GM Xcal in the hopes that it has a similarly rich datastream... I can't find anybody who's ever used their software on a GM to get advice on it, hope I didn't waste my money.
I've been using a Tactrix 1.3U cable via JEFF protocol as a generic ISO scanner for random imports, seems to work out okay.

Yeah pretty sure that one was locked to an 03 cobra that is no longer in this area. But it may have been another one. I think I have one or two more of those running around that are locked to various vehicles that I've forgotten.
-
I'm just glad they don't cripple anything other than the flashing aspect of those when they're locked. FYI, a little birdie told me Drew Technologies designed those for SCT.

thank you
