Title: Run Forest run
Post by: Eggylshatch on March 20, 2010, 12:18:17 AM
My friend and I are attempting a rim to rim to rim tomorrow.  No, it's not a three way rim job.  Grand Canyon South Rim to North Rim and back again.  Should be around 48 miles, and 11,000 feet of elevation gain.  hahahahahahahaha. ha.  The farthest run I've ever done is 32 miles, with 5k ft of elevation.  Should be interesting.  If you don't see me post for a few days, check the Arizona news headlines.  We're being stupid and running it during the day-- most start in the middle of the night.  Will I survive?  Maybe.  Maybe not.  Maybe fuck yourself.   :mexi:

My gf's boss did what you want to do (I think, I know it was in the Grand Canyon) and he was in a very bad situation at a moment. He started at 5am and finished at 11am and he was alone. He do triathlons and marathons all year long. His problem was in the difference of pressure and oxygen. It's different when you have to run with a pack sack too ;)

Be careful if you ever do it, don't die!
