Title: Which would you rather have?
Post by: turbostd on March 22, 2010, 04:50:59 PM: So my dads car died and he has been using mine to go to work. I found a buyer for some of our junk and get half the money from it so i want to buy another car. I found 3 hondas in my price range on craigslist. They are:

1995 Civic EX coupe, Auto (bah) $700 needs a radiator and poss headgasget
1994 DX sedan needs ??? says it just died
1990 CRX DX, Needs motor $500

I have 3 d-series motors sitting around so no lack of parts. knowing this which would you buy?? I have always wanted a crx but i like the more luxury feel of the 92 up cars so im kinda undecided? I am leaning towards the ex coupe but i dont know if i want to do another auto-manual swap. I have all the parts to do so from my old sedan but idk.

You give up a couple luxuries but they really are awesome little go-karts that are a bit more rare than a Civic. I know I get asked to sell mine all the time, even when it's been sitting in a driveway not running for months in the middle of nowhere.

I loved my old one and would still have it if the floors didn't fall out lol. I assume its an auto but whatever ill just convert it. I did find a ex coupe with a bad motor (perfect for me as i have 3 spares) but the guy hasn't gotten back to me.

Post by: turbostd on March 27, 2010, 06:57:38 PM: Well i went and looked at a 92 dx sedan today. It was a pile and the wanted a bit to much for it. I would only buy it to part it out its so bad. Oh well I decided instead of buying another car id fix up my camaro that i haven't driven since i got it ~4 years ago haha. Its a 89 rs has a carbed 350 and 350t trans. It runs just needs some minor tunage. I am having a heck of a time with the holley carb that is on it so i may buy a summit carb or eldabrock for it.
