So I got the ricer emblems off my car which were held on by double sided tape. Now I just have to get all the residue off. Someone told me WD-40 will work and not harm the paint, anyone ever tried this? Any other quick solutions?
Worked like a charm, now does anyone have any spare emblem adhesive laying around?

lighter fluid. true story.

Lighter fluid or 3M adhesive remover

Any friggin solvent (that's not too powerful)
WD40? Nosir.
Rubbing alcohol will work if that's the least you have. Surely you have some.

Yeah I'm just being lazy and don't want to go to the store. Might pick some up later

3M adhesive remover
I had to remove ~15 bumper stickers from my one car, this shit worked great

Any kind of petroleum based lube will work. I've used wd-40 (and knock off's) to get tint crud off, sticker residue off of paint, and lots of other shit. If it's kinda sun baked on, you may have to soak it for a while. I had that shit happen with a emblem on my trunklid, and I had to keep spraying it. It came off a day later, just sprayed it down anytime I walked outside, rubbed a little, spray, rub, spray, etc...

Also, if you read the WD-40 can, it says that its safe for such.

I use WD40 or PB. Works like butta 8)

Fortunately I found a bottle of actual paint remover in the garage, have been using that, and before I was using 90% isopropyl alcohol. Also have used some spray meant for prepping for paint work that's supposed to remove all oils and such.

mineral spirits

wd40 O0 I use way too much for everything but it fucking works.
-
Wd40 is the duct tape of aerosol cans.
-
If it has a factory/ decent paint job, you can use acetone. If its a rattle can job, I wouldn't try it.
I do this on a daily basis to remove tree sap and sticker adhesive. Just give it a light coat of wax when your done.

Heat gun or blow dryer.
-
That's a waste of time. Acetone will have it off in less than 30 seconds.

That's what my "paint prep" spray has. Works.

Heat gun or blow dryer.
good way to scorch the paint

Maybe if you fail at life.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no body expert, but I think that heat would make it pliable and gooey to come off, but might kinda also get the paint too hot. Why go through that hassle when WD-40 does it just as well, and quicker.

Wd40 is the JB WELD of aerosol cans.

WD-40 worked out pretty well. Just kept spraying it on every little bit, about 5 coats in each spot and it came off fairly easy.
So now I just need to get some emblem adhesive for the replacement ones. Anyone have any laying around? Don't really want to buy $10 3M emblem adhesive that I only need a few drops of.
-
Shipping to you would cost a few bucks.
I have some JB Weld.

I have some JB Weld.
Can throw it in one of the free USPS envelopes for about $.75. I got a pack of chewing gum just waiting to be used, don't think I won't go ghetto on it
-
jb weld, or better yet, some other type of epoxy. I just don't see jb weld sticking to plastic and/or paint very well

Shut your whore mouth! JBweld can stick to anything! JBweld also impregnated your mom last night

I've got some 3M body tape for emblems and side molding type shit. If you can wait until I get home (2 weeks) I can send it to you, or you could meet me on my way back to Gadsden from Michigan, somewhere like huntsville if your schedule would allow.
Don't use and serious epoxy, or JB weld. As much as I love the both of those, they will both be hell if you need to get them off. I've also used black, blue, and even patched a gas tank with red rtv.

I remembered I had some clear RTV adhesive from fixing the Rex. Used it on the rear emblem. Front I don't care much about, the rear however had the two mounting holes into the trunk so had to get that taken care of.
