truth, my auto shop teacher had a rod/piston from some fishing boat, it was taller than i was by a few feet. motherfucker had to be 12-15 feet tall and 2-3 foot wide.

I remember reading about that motor strange rod and piston configuration.
One the most efficient motors I ever read about.

There is no starter motor...They just push it and have Fing Fong Wong pop the clutch... Saves money

There is no starter motor...They just push it and have Fing Fong Wong pop the clutch... Saves money
actually they have some seriously large compressors and reserviors to start it with compressed air. on one of those kind of boats if they don't get it started on the first try, it takes like 30 min for the compressors to build up enough air to try again

They actually aren't quite as cool as you would initially think, they are all gantry style machines. This one is pretty cool though, 200hp ingersoll mill with 24" facemill, .75" axial and 18" radial cut :o

Need to just use c4 to start it. There were some old aviation engines that used to use a shot gun shell to start them.
