man speaks the truth, I always just use my bfh
-
BFH is my tool of choice.
-
BFH works great. Just don't hit the threaded end, or you'll quickly mushroom that shit, and never get a nut back on.

pimp!

i take the nut off and flip it around so the castle part is down, then thread it almost all the way on and hit it with a bfh. sometimes have to get a new nut, works 70% of the time all the time.

Craftsman wrench method ftw, no reason to use any other method.

What is the craftsman wrench method?
-
sledge and pickel fork if i have to. ive fucked up one boot before, but that was after a long period of time. sometimes they come off easy without a sledge or fork just with hand. other times i beat the fuck out of it with the fork and sledge. ill be trying the wrench method next time i have a tought one for sure.

No banging, works every time even on ball joints that haven't been popped out in 20+ years...

Flat rate Nigga!
Undo upper control arm bolts and pry axles out....
Why pull ball jonits to do a clutch?
Any how i use a BFH when i gotta do them there balljoints....
-
its way easier to pull the lower out and lift up then actually having to fool around with trying to pull out the axles.

Not if you fuck them up like 90% of twats pulling them. I have had to fix more people ball joints when they said the same thing way easier then pulling the uca. well.... :?:
-
long pry bar on top of the LCA, stand on both ends and jump!, this works better if you're not a skinny fuck such as myself.

BFH on lower join+jack the car up by the rotor so the weight of the car is pushing down as well

THAT IS FUCKING TITS!
Im doing my shit that way from now on.
All of my LCAs look like they caught the herp from hotrex because of BFH.
-
If the spring doesn't pop it, just stand on the rotor. Never fails.
-
i unbolt the upper control arm from the car, no chance of messing anything up and no need to mess with cotter pins. i do honda axles in 10 min or less all the time
-
Will be using the above tool shortly.
Redoing the front end of the 91 Sedan after snapping a knuckle Monday.

Skunk2 UCA in that pic has 3/8" movement up/down and only has about 5k miles on it.
-
How the hell did you manage that?
-
the pitman remover never failed me yet
-
How the hell did you manage that?

Crapsman ftw. It's crazy how easy it is, and how perfectly sized a craftsman socket wrench is for that. It goes next to the ball joint's rubber, between the lca and knuckle if anyone missed that.
One guy I know who works at a rather prestigeous Honda outfit has used a BFH for years. He wails on the side of the LCA, albeit he's bigger than spiker. It deforms the hole just enough to unstick the 2 metal parts. Apparently it's never caused an issue, besides missing a handful of times and destroying other parts... :P
