Title: D series Fuel Rail Fitting?
Post by: Lowerit on April 02, 2009, 10:14:07 AM
I have gotten rid of all that Honda Canister Fuel filter BS and I'm going to hide the filter.

I have seen a few D's running a fitting from the rail that allows the use of an aftermarket braided line, can't seem to find exaclty what I need though.

Looked on all the usual An fitting sites, even called up Earls... got 3 Different answers.

basically I am going to run the line to a bulkhead at the top of the firewall.

Any ideas?

The hard fuel lines are -5  They are really hard to come by but earls has them.  Convert your -5 to -6 with this EAR-991907ERL.  As far as the fuel rail goes, I run a 12 x 1.25 thread to -6 adapter and run all -6 for my lines.  Right now, I am running -6 just back to the fuel filter because I have been to lazy to convert the -5 to -6 and put in a new fuel filter.  I am kind of to the point now though where i want to run -6 all the way back to the pump.  The stock honda fuel filter also has the same thread 12 x 1.25.  Meh, That should bet you started.

to get the fitting out of the fuel rail, clamp it in a vice with a couple wood blocks and put some vice grips on the fitting that the banjo usually slides over.  Then you have to really wrench on it but it will unscrew and just screw that fitting in the end.  Now your an official H-T style baller!
