White bank robber used black mask to fool cops

When Ohio police put out an A.P.B. for a black male who had robbed five banks, they were puzzled as to why they could never catch the guy.
He always seemed to slip away, despite cops locking down the area around the target banks.
That's probably because the real suspect was a white guy from Florida disguised as an African-American. Blame this one on the magic of Hollywood.
Conrad Zdzierak, a former Seminole resident, was arrested earlier this month accused of robbing four banks and a CVS pharmacy in a three hour span, reported ABC Action News.
Police said he eluded police by wearing a mask known as "The Player," which transformed the very white, spike-haired Zdzierak into a very dark, bald black guy. Zdzierak, 30, also wore shades to cover his blue eyes.
The suspect seen in the surveillance photographs and that we were looking for, we believed to be an African American male," Springdale Police Lieutenant Michael Mathis said.
"The suspect was actually a male, white, who was wearing an elaborate disguise."
Between robberies, Zdzierak would take off the mask and drive by police as they searched for the black suspect.
So what uncovered this made by Hollywood mystery? A dye pack from one of the bank robberies exploded in the suspect's getaway car, which cops found parked outside a hotel.
A search of Zdzierak's room turned up the black face investigators were looking for. Zdzierak now faces aggravated robbery charges and is being held on $3 million bond.

That's what you think. He's actually a mexican wearing a white guy mask in the pic on the right. Under that, he's a 6 year old boy standing on another 6 year old boy's shoulders.

How could they not tell it was a mask when his lips didn't move when he talked?

Why go so far as to get away and leave your car parked where they can see the dye. I would have left the state pronto. Also he should have told the teller if they use a dye pack he'll come back and kill everyone that works there. Has he never seen a movie?

good plan lol but i agree it was poorly excecuted. could have watched a few more movies and not be greedy, would never of gotten caught

Duh. Whether the lips moved or not, all black people look the same.
Why go so far as to get away and leave your car parked where they can see the dye. I would have left the state pronto.
I would have ditched the vehicle, and not worried about it.

I would have not opened the bag in the car to begin with. See if it was me I would have made everyone fork over their ID and then tell them if they put in a dye pack I now know where they work and live and won't hesitate to make this a murder. :-*

Yep, he hit a bunch of banks here in north Cincy......two are less than three miles away.
Police say an accused serial bank robber, known as the "hairless" robber, was able to target four banks and a pharmacy in the span of three hours because he was slipping in and out of a sophisticated disguise. 30 year old Conrad Zdzierak is now held on $3 million dollars bond on charges that he was the "man behind the mask" in a string of robberies last Friday.
Zdzierak allegedly held up the Key Bank in the Brentwood Shopping Center in Finneytown, then the Fifth Third bank in the Woodlawn Kroger, followed by the Key Bank near Tri-County Mall, the CVS in Springdale, and the Franklin Savings and Loan in Forest Park. Police say he also robbed the Chaco Bank in Forest Park March 5.
In each case, Zdzierak wore a Hollywood movie mask that is known as "The Player" which changed his appearance and made him look African-American. Police say Zdzierak was able to elude them easily because he was likely taking the mask off between robberies and driving to each location as a white man... when police were looking for a black man.
Officers arrested Zdzierak on Wednesday after a tip to Crimestoppers led them to a Volvo, which was seen driving away from one of the robberies. The car was parked at the Extended Stay America Hotel on Glensprings Drive in Springdale. Police fired two shots at Zdzierak's pit bull, which attacked an officer. The dog was killed and police found Zdzierak hiding in the bathroom. Officers say they found the mask, clothing worn in the robberies, and money with serial numbers matching money stolen in the robberies.
A woman who says her family member was dating Zdzierak tells Local 12 he's from the Tampa, Florida area and has been living in the Extended Stay American since last fall.
Local 12 has also learned that few days after the March 5th robbery of the Chaco Bank, police in Covington arrested Zdzierak for carrying a concealed weapon. He posted bond and was released.
Zdzierak was arraigned this morning on six counts of aggravated robbery.

It makes you wonder how many white people have pulled this off. All you need is size XXXXL clothes, your pants down to your knees, dollar-store jewelry, and face paint...
