Been a member for some time..never made an intro thread, here goes

I bought this heap about a month ago, it was already turbo'd but every thing was a mess... figured I would upgrade pretty much every thing so here's some pics that I have for now let me know what you guys think

the original plan was to take the old turbo kit off and put the new one on, until the transmission started to make a noise at that point it was just easier for the motor to come out

found out my transmission was shot so I picked up an LS for cheap and polished up the casing, now I just need to clean the block and head up

still have to do the Energy Suspension master master bushing kit, clean up all the wiring in the engine bay, run the fuel line for the 044, still need to do a shit load of cleaning in the engine bay and all other parts, fab the down pipe and who knows what else

Check out a gen 1 drag manifold that only vented 1 cylinder, thats horrible WG placement.

The manifold worked awesome when it was on my car, i didn't have any boost creep issues at 8lbs with it when using my 72mm, boost was as flat as a ruler strap, and that was on e98 which has more exhaust mass than gas. Boost creep problems are magnifiied by a choked up turbine side.  IF it creeps , its a good sign he needs a bigger turbine housing.


The new hot thing to do is to not use anything on the exhaust side to regulate boost pressure(ie no wastegate), making use of every bit of exhuast energy to spin the turbo.
