Title: Civic VX z6 swap o2 wiring
Post by: turbostd on May 03, 2010, 04:32:24 PM
So Im getting ready to swap out my z1 for a more peppy y7 or z6 and ex trans. Does anyone know what exactly I have to do to get the 4 wire o2 working? Is it as simple as just using a z6 harness or do I have some pin swapping to do?

Looking at that it seems that if I use the z6 harness I should not have to do anything as all the changes where made to the engine harness.

allot easier w the z6 harness... just dont forget to wire the ecu sub harness for vtec and 4 wire. 92 civic sub harness already comes pre wired for this. nodding your existing z1 harness isn't that hard if you have it out of the vehicle, that's what i did. only took me a couple hours.

well using the ex/z6 harness is a no go. The vx cabbin harness has an extra plug. Its for the wbo2 and egr i assume. Looks like I will have to use the vx harness and do the 5->4 wire mod. Oh well sometimes things dont end up being so pnp lol.
