Yeah I was given a free freshly remanned Garrett turbo for tuning a car last night.
Ive ran the part numbers but can get much back on it except it may have come on an isuzu deisel truck. the numbers on the tag are P/N 2910094000 and S/N HEM102744.

Does it look like it has a large a/r turbine housing w/a t3 flange? Does the turbine housing look like it has to have a v-band welded in it to mount a dp? No provisions for a internal gate?

No it's got a five bolt flange and a two holed wastegate flaper. It's also a twin scroll.

As far as I can tell it comes off of an Isuzu 6HE1-TC which is a 7.1L diesel motor that makes ~250hp. Found in some of the medium duty chev trucks C6500, C7500 ect...
How about some wheel sizes?
-
Looks like a .50 trim t3. And I'm not just looking the a/r on the compressor housing either... but yeah measuring the comp. inlet diameter would help...
-
I am going to guess coming off a 7.1L motor it has at least a T4 hotside, and the fact that they only made 250hp out of 7.1L it will have a small compressor. Making it all but useless for anything but that sort of app.
-
T04e compressor... T4 hotside... measurewheelsplzkthx
-
all right I'll go find some measurin tools

T04e compressor... T4 hotside... measurewheelsplzkthx
Negative on the compressor. The M12 compressor cover is a t3 50 trim that is also used on MB om617 engines.
Your pictures don't clearly show it, but it looks like the the waste gate valves are divided for the volutes, which would be cool.
The turbo however is useless for anything than its intended purpose.

Well I'm still waiting for Foowwee to come over with his dial indicators I can't find mine. But I'm thinking this turbo will eventually go on my accord.

This turbo is not suitable for your accord, unless you are installing a big, low performance diesel in it as well.

its indeed a t04e 50 AR compressor. NOT a t3 coldside. Pretty fuckn sure duebroman... The M12 denotes the .50 but itsw NOT a T3 compressor.
Hence the 7643229754329753297 T3/04E .50 trims sold all over the fucking place... With the M12 denotation

Did you wake up from a 7 year nap under a diesel truck? An HX35 hotside is as close to a stg5 T3 as it is to a t4 O-trim. Eyeballing the turbine exducer, it's close to 2"...assuming that is a normal t4 inlet flange. If it was a 2.071" N-trim, well it may be too small if anything.
It also looks like a very tight radius, so it's might be a relatively low-AR.

And why would you say this? it look perfectly fine for a street turbo, just looking at the shape/size of things.
Unless you think you know something the rest of us are missing, i see no reason why it wouldn't work. Go ahead and look up the whole lot of "diesel" turbo's that seem to kick ass for a turbo on the cheap.
so...... :?:
-
Yeah I think some of you aren't getting the scale of this thing i'ts a t4 I found my dial indicator so I've got measurements. Could side small end is 55.49mm the wide end is 81.92mm. The hotside is 57.53 on the small end and 73.51 on the big side of the wheel.

You realize this is the choir's website, stop preaching. I think we ALL have KNOWN what diesel turbos are useful, and most can prolly tell a pile of fail at a glance. I'm not that good, but gimme some a/r numbers
-
Yea, that's not going to much on anything for real. That compressor is too tiny in proportion. Sell it on HT, mislabeled as some t3/t4 hybrid or some shit.

suck me off
Hopefully you will be as good as your mother, at least she swallows :-*
-
I just saw the thing in person it's a straight t04e. The pics are deceiving. At least they were to me. I was too busy to dig out the dial calipers so no measurements on the wheels, but it'll do good things on one of his f motors...
-
Waiting for one of you faggots to do some math. I already did... :noel:... Fooe: Ya I could tell by how square the flange is that the hotside was t4, and well, as I mentioned the compressor is definately a t4e trim (not sure what daves thinking on that one)... Straight t04e. Big 4 cyl would work it.
-
Yeah it would probably do alright on a Nissan 2.4L or something along those lines.

Yeah your right, IIRC M12 is just the casting style, I've machines crates of those stupid covers. The wheel sizes are right for t04e, for some reason I thought you said T4. You can use the the same cover plate to machine a t3 or t04 but not a T4.

That was obvious from the moment it was rated for 250hp on a diesel, pictures not required.
