I'm not a huge fan of Scooby (or most any non-Toyota import) automatic transmissions, but if he has paperwork showing recent rebuild and it shifts smooth I'd do it.  You move into a newer, lower mileage vehicle and get one of your cars off the import theft radar up there.

trade it buk, and do it fast before he backs out.  His car is worth more and you can resell it and then buy an even gayer delsol

As long as it didn't have bad oil leaks and/or burning and drove fine I would do it. Polish those lights up and give the car a good detail and sell for $4500 for a quick sale. Try to keep the carbon targa and then find a better sol.

It's NA, they last forever.

It'll tick and leak coolant while doing so, but they do run forever.  Easy as fuck to do an oil change on too.  You can practically reach under the front and screw off the filter without getting under the car.

Iv done at least 5 98-01 legacy 2.5 headgaskets this year already, the quad cam 2.5ls  have mls head gaskets and leak oil and coolant after a while. I have only seen early legacys >91 that have noisy lifters. Usually they have an undertray which makes oil changes a pain in the ass on the ground.
