Title: Unccle Tom sent me giftisisses in teh mail.

Flat Black, ScorpioMK and myself took Sewell up on a deal he proposed on som FIC 1100s while he was in the PNW. Im waiting on a 4 BAR from JD and a couple TB gaskets and the slut will be back onthe dyno in a week or so. Once I get ahold of leednog.

The numbers are awesome...  at 55 PSI looking at 1250 CC...  Up around 35 pounds of boost it should be Palenty to get where I want to go.

 I saw them idling on Alexs pile of sht at 15:1-16:1 with no lean popping and heard his part throttle was int the 16s as well... That is a NO GO on the Precisionn 1000s.

I never use paper gasket at the throttle body. Thin layer of rtv silcone does the job never had an issue in the 12 years I have been using it.



Pm me if you want paper gaskets for the spacer. One will need to be trimmed to fit the larger side of the spacer since it is tapered 70mm inlet down to 68mm at the plenum to help with reversion. The gaskets are made for the 68mm plate throttle bodies.


The 2mm larger inlet at the spacer vs the throttle body plate size is the same design Honda/Acura use on all their manifolds just the lack of iacv spacing makes porting most manifolds past 68mm impossible. Hence why I came up with the spacer.

So for example an oem h22 throttle body plate is 60mm. The inlet on the intake manifold is 62mm. Just port matching to the throttle plate is not optimal for flow why the spacer made 4 whp over a basic port match on a stock h22a with a 74-68mm tapered throttle body all motor.

will not work for d series since the largest you can make the intake plenum is 65mm on a d16z6 manifold. The paper gaskets I have are 68mm aka wont work. I dont sell enough spacers I sell maybe 2 a month so yeah making gaskets for them is not every going to happen.


You can buy a sheet of gasket material and cut one out yourself or just use rtv.

I understand your need for them. You want 50mpg through lean burn mode...on something that uses a gallon per mile at full tilt. Who gives a flying fuck if you have to idle in the low 13's. Your turbo is fucking huge and you don't have much go until at least 3k, so that eliminates any argument for better low-end as well.

He can't up the fuel pressure - I've been that path with those cores, you completely retune every part of the fuel map and gain 0 whp before you run out of injector.  1600s idle and part throttle like shit.  Who cares if it's a racecar, right?  Spiker's got a streetcar he picks his girlfriend up in so they can have teenage-like backseat sex, or a reasonable facsimile thereof, and it's got to have streetcar manners.  Yes, I have planted my asscheeks somewhere Spiker's gotten laid.  That came out horribly wrong.

The new Bosch cores are the only direction he can go, short of some overly complicated staged setup that would cost more after plumbing and inability to sell the existing injectors is accounted for.

got a friend of mine i am trying to convince to move to ID injectors.  He wants to use precision 1000's and i about slapped him.  He doesnt want to spend 500 on injectors, but im trying to get him to understand the concept of why i dont want him running those injectors and why he should move to the ID's.  Some people just dont listen.  The smaller precision injectors are pretty nice and i have yet to have a problem with those.  880+ can suck a fucking nutsack tho.

Like I said he completely missed the point. I dont even have to be a dick in pointing it out...  he did that himself. LOL..

The car behaves OK as it is, actually from what Ive gathered for what I have going on (especially at the base im at) my car behaves very nicely on the street and around town. Its not a track car. Street drivability is more important than WOT. I have had to compromise up till now. Not that idling at 12:8 iS that BIG OF A DEAL, BUT FOR THE DEAL I GOT ONTHE bOSCHES i cant SAY NO. It helps accomplish 3 or more goals for the car.

I cant wait to see the improvements from these... At the same base, I gain 250cc plus... At the BASE... Fair to say ill have plenty to turn the boost up to farther than I plan too, AND get better drivability... I dont give a shit how much it burns full tilt (Closer to 1.2 gallons per mile if my math is correct), as thats not going to change... Its the part throttle behavior and manerisms Im looking forward to. I know how much of a shitpile Alexs teg was before the Bosches... Mine was MUCH better than his, and his is now ROCK SOLID STABLE WITHOUT an IACV...

The 1000s as JD mentioned have reached the point of limiting returns, in additio9n they CANT take an increased base pressure  (as in you turn it up and they idle leaner) as the very design of the injector phrohibits any more help... You turn it up, part throttle gets fucked and you make no more up top as they are just DONE.

Not to mention after selling my 1000s Ill only have 60 bux into these (Thx Tom)  :yes:
 I may have to wait a bit lionger to do the switch, as Ive been in Cali on vacation for over a week, and when I get home tomorrow, it will be two weeks sincew ive worked so I cant affor to miss time to get leed down for a couple weeks... But I have everything I need. Probably take the cams ourt and check the headstuds and do the valves Jus cuz before I hit the dyno.... But its comin. SOon.


I have an option to get some S2 Stage 2 turbo cams DIIIIIRt cheap if I want them, but I dont want the shitty part throttle that comes with them... Think Ill pass and try for the 7 on the stock cams. After talking to Tom in regards top the H heads flow (Andf the fact there are PLENTY of clowns making over 8 on stock port stock JDM cam heads) I dont think it impossible to get 7 with just 5-7 more pounds of boost :mexi:

I already have fuel lines, a 255HP feeding a 044 and a billet filter feeding the rail. The 044s are good to more than enough pressure than Im going to need even running a 55 pound base and 35 ish PSI boost.

Ittle idle at 15:1 not lean pop and flow close to 1450 CC on the top eaving all kinds of headroom injectorwise.


We wont even tyouch the transmission issues (or lack thereof thesedays) as Probably 90 percent of those here have no idea of whats transpired. The tranny hasnt been out of the car since last Sept. It will come out for a looksee soon, but nothing bad is going on in it at all.... Yet.  :P

Stock block LS.  The turbo was Mitsufeces fail, though.  Torque peak was at 3800 rpms, then the boost started tapering down.

This was the car he threatened slow faggot C6 Z06 with cams and nitrous with, they wouldn't race him.

I never use paper gasket at the throttle body. Thin layer of rtv silcone does the job never had an issue in the 12 years I have been using it.

Pm me if you want paper gaskets for the spacer. One will need to be trimmed to fit the larger side of the spacer since it is tapered 70mm inlet down to 68mm at the plenum to help with reversion. The gaskets are made for the 68mm plate throttle bodies.


If your machining throttle bodies and spacers why don't you offer the option for an O-ring groove?  If the parts are setup on the machine already adding the groove would take no time at all then you'd be baller on a gasketless, reuseable seal.  I'm sure people would pay for it if you offered the option to never have to buy another gasket again.

Ya Im not mad... LOL... Its been in since September last year. I have 3 or 4 finals lying around  :O)

Injectors will be changed out tonight, and the resistor box eliminated... Ill get the tranny out as well by tomorrow morning at the latest and see EXACTLY what I have going on at that point.

So will be updating:

New Final Drive
New 3-4 slider
New Pass side axle seal
FIC/BOSCH 1100 injectors
4 BAR Map sensor
Valve adjustment and new VC grommets



Giives me a chance to look at my clutch disks and input shaft as well... Trans fluid needs to be changed out anyways as well, its got about -6K on it. Standard procedure for the beginning of summer. No biggie.  If I get through another summer without the tranny coming out again I will be a very happy boy. As long as the Input shaft is cool, I see it as being no problem.


Gonna need tires soon too...

Figure 2 sets over the summer... Normally anyways... LOL

They dont spray into the adaptors, the bottom "adaptor" is a spacer because the nozzle is like an inch long on the 1100's.  The 900's (same injector as the id1000's) run a spacer on the bottom, and the spray pattern is no where close to the spacer.

The injectors are  in the car now... Put them in today... Waiting on JD to send me my fucking 4 BAR, trannys 3/4 the way out... Made some new fuel rail hold downs and spacers  today. map sensor plug converted back to Honda style plug Resistor box eliminated...  


Need to tighten the tinming belt, retorque the headstuds and get the TB back on it and look at the tranny... Shell be back together in a week or so.


Also the injectors pictured are for a s2k... mine looked different, you can see the adaopters on the top if you look carefully in the first pic where they are all in the plastic still... 2 sets for b/h one for s2k

the hand in the pic is mine, thats not a bear paw so how can it be spikers?. and the injectors are mine for my s2k motor like spiker mentioned, the injectors for his motor look more like these guys

Those are 1100's.  The FIC 900's and the Id1000's are the ones that are the same.

That "dented" portion is how Bosch assembles it from the factory.

If you'd read theproduct literature on the ID1000's you sell (Tom arguing with Palo about how they are really ~880's) then you'd know this.

Got the tranny out. Pinion gear is wasted... ring here ids hammered... but the gearset looks good :o). Diff washers are fine. Input shaft splines are worn but negligable compared to how they were when I put it together last time. Clutch disks will be sent out to be rehubbed. They're not stripped but they're worn enough to where it would be dumb not to. adress it while the sluts apart. I have numerous finals so I think that I'm going to have one cryoed by flat blacks buddy. After that.. dump... then track. Hope to make the import. Face off later in the month at pacific.

They are sending me a new set for free a few shades "harder" to test fopr them. im trying to get RUNSFROMDACOPS in on it too.....  They are two weeks out thoufgh, but Im trying to get him to send me 2 sets so tyhat I have a bcakup set WHEN these fail..


Im just happy that they are looking at this issue and they KNOW that its a problem.


THEY DO NOT NOT NOT offer rehubbing as a service any longer as they have had problems with the holes for the rivets getting fucked uip. Fronm here on out it will be new disks only.

Ill keep yall updated.
