so this weeks kicks off the nba finals.
the boston celtics are looking to stop the la lakers from winning back to back championships. the lakers are looking to stop the celtics from defeating them in the finals for the kazillionth time.
we can get some bets going on, i love to make some money off you la suckers.
lets go celtics!!!!!!!! Beat LA!

Growing up a huge boston fan and larry bird fan Im all for the celtics handing it to the lakers.
I was just talking about this with my brother earlier celtics take it in 6 pretty easy.

i was watching espn and the lakers been to the finals 30 times, thats the most in nba history. but i guess they also have the most finals losses.
boston celtics are 17 out of 20, not bad.

I still play coonball all the time. Until a couple years ago after I blew out my ankle again I was able to dunk pretty easy. It impresses about every female around when a 6 foot white dude can dunk on the nogs at the park/gym.
Either way Im down for 10 bucks on the celtics.

I'll root for the Celtics, but I have the Lakers in 6 or 7. If the Celtics win, Rondo is the sole reason and deserves playoff MVP if they do win. In the end, Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol are no joke and if you get a guy like Lamar Odom 15 pts, the Lakers are so hard to beat. I'm interested to see if the Celtics are also going to play 3-2 zone that worked so well for the Suns. The Celtics do have the size to go man to man, but really what hurt the Suns was their damn size once again. The Lakers were getting a lot of offensive rebounds in that last game.

Paul Piece had a few good games against a mediocre Vince Carter and even more mediocre Matt Barnes. I'll admit I was shocked to see Pierce play that well, but I wouldn't expect more repeat performances against the Lakers. The Celtics win if Rondo plays like we know he can. They lose if he doesn't hit open jump shots. It's really very simple. The Lakers will have to have Kobe cover Rondo and Fisher/Farmar/Brown/Vujacic cover Allen, which would really be fantastic for the Celtics because Kobe can't cover Rondo and those other jokers really can't cover Ray Allen.
The Lakers win if they play like they always do. Pau Gasol has to have 20/10 games every night. Kobe has to score 25+. Odom needs to have 10/10 nights. Artest needs to hit open jumpers when they are there. Bynum needs to have 10/10 nights. If they do that, it will be a hard fought series, but I see the Lakers taking it in 6.

Back then they did not rely on just one or two star player to carry the team. :?:
