Well drag racing is getting stale, much like rhmt , so I got some slicks for the civic and did some auto x fun stuff.
The local scca also opened up a drift school, I know most think it's fucking gay but I went for a spin in a buddies car and was fun as shit.
Car options for about 1000
-240sx, ka-t, welding the rear end
-rx7 fc remove rotard at all cost, what to replace with?
-miata small, very gay, but good to learn with
Any tips?

older 300zx turbo

I'd pick up a Miata, and Autox instead of Dorifto, but that's me.

Road racing is the thing to do if you want to get away from drag racing. Its not cheap and you better get use to building an all motor car since well 30 minute sessions and boosted Hondas dont match.
One of my crx's is being built strictly for road racing. car will be driven to the track and thats about it. Also if you want the best suspension aka JRZ get use to spending upwards of 3000+ just on suspension.
You cheap out you get your ass handed to you out there. You really cant cut corners in this style of racing.
Why I bought a minty fresh crx si,b16b and jrz's. 200 whp is more then enough power to keep up with some baller cars in a light honda chassis.

Get a fc RX7 with a blown engine, people practically give them away, drop in a sbc 350, done and done. On teh m4j0r ch33pz y0!

This is not cdm garbage. I rode in a k24 96 civic with their products and was sold within 5 minutes to spend the big bucks.

Road racing would be fun as fuck and I totaly agree na or go home there, but the money is the issue here the most I could muster is a high cr y7 right now lol the otther issue is finding a Crx to make into a race slut they are all trash up here!
I'm liking the fc idea.....blown apex seals are a plus! And I can romp on it until it won't turn over haha

I have the same problem finding a CRX in my area. We need to visit Chris M and liberate one his CRXs. ;D
Road Racing is something I want to get into but need a lot more cash. :-\

volvo 740 turbo wagon with a boost controller, CDM T3/T4, and manual transmission. Either that or an BMW E30.
I'm planning to do this with a sedan. I want RWD so I can fuck around with it, and I don't want a 240sx.

Bone stock 944. You will look like a fucking superhero at the track. Incredible cars to drive, and EASY as fuck to work on. Parts are only expensive for the turbo models.
-
Bone stock 944. You will look like a fucking d bag when your cars broken at the track.

??? You do realize those things are dirt cheap, right? Pretty darn reliable too.

I've had a turbo miata and a turbo 240sx. the 240 was *much* easier to drift. It basically drove itself.
-
I wanna do the same with my s12
Only problem is I need to get it running right.
Then find a track
