Title: S2gAY, tuning options?
Post by: LS1pwNzJ00 on June 25, 2010, 02:26:18 AM
how do you go about tuning a s2gay?  Its a 2005.  My friend wants to turbo it and i'll be doing a yruiney style comrae is300 style install for him, but I dont know the first thing about tuning it.  The mani/turbo charge piping ic, etc etc, is simple, but how do you tune these, is there freeway like chrome or someshit??

Also the s2000 is meant to be road raced not drag raced. I guess you azians cant take a turn without flipping a car though.

You've got those prices completely reversed...

K-poop = have to pass scantool emissions.

Why do that when you can get the full standalone for $150 more used? Like jd said, I bought an aem ems a while back that cost a grand total of $500.

Get a supercharger, fmu, msd boost retard box, and be a happy twatwaffle. SC's are the only thing you can half-ass your EMS with.

Too bad it doesn't use a distributor. You could convert to a vac-advance dizzy and a carb. You'd have to paint a confederate flag on the rear, though.

i dont think you can run kpro on anything older 2006. your only other options are really AEM or an FMU. if youre interested i have an AEM v1 for my ap1 that i never got to use since im selling my car. PM me if youre interseted.

Yes.
Title: Re: S2gAY, tuning options?
Post by: jarebear667 on October 07, 2010, 08:25:20 PM
going to convert to throttle cable? or is the aem able to do tbw? im not sure i havnt looked all that up. mines k-pro rsx ecu i believe i havnt taken it out or anything. i like that i have check engine like and limp mode and all that seems to work very very well. idles nicely part throttle is amazing, runs and drives like stock.(shane(dbperformance)) on my hatch with aem didnt have that but i suppose he just did wot idle and some part, it would buck like crazy at part throttle and boost.
Title: Re: S2gAY, tuning options?
Post by: Joseph Davis on October 07, 2010, 08:31:24 PM
Sorry, misread.  Flashpro = DBW.  06+, basically.

K-pro is expensive to do on those cars, you piggyback the stock ECU to control the gauges.

AEM has many flaws.  Bucking part throttle is not one of them.

im sure it just wasted tuned in that spot, not my specialty(drinking keystones) it just would, i forsee a lot of s2k's getting molested now haha, they are prettyt affordable, but take a lot of money to go real fast, i want 9's in 2 years.
