Title: My new toy, (wifey got me a sweet present)
Post by: TheMadScientist on June 29, 2010, 09:46:49 PM
So I've been looking for a bike for a bit now. Well my wife got me one for fathers day, she rocks   :-*

(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi919.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fad33%2FTMS21%2F2fd97ec2.jpg&hash=9f7a5522779620a9374bcbb3ab3cb8b10b013e5d)

2005 Hayabusa, lowered an inch and a yoshi pipe, scored it for $4500
I love this bike it is a blast.
Hopefully, I'm gonna be able to make it really fast soon  ;)

Um... she is just putting a down payment on a nice life insurance cash out. :P

Fixed.

 ;D

I'd love to own a sport bike sometime in my life, just for the hell of it.

just be careful.  you can flick your wrist and crack your head on the pavement and not know how you got there.

Yeah that is a fact, last bike I had was a cbr600, this thing is leaps and bounds above that thing. First night I got it had to ride it 70 miles to my house. My buddy was with me on his bike (600cc cruiser) we were cruising at 70ish, he went past me at about 100+ . I thought hell I'm in 6th gear how bad can it be. Rolled into it flew past him looked down and I was going 154 and climbing fast. It pulled way harder than I expected. Went out and rode 265 miles Sunday really got used to it now.

Can't wait to start working on it and make it really fast.

$4500 isn't a bad deal at all.  Hyper bikes are fun for touring.  Just remember, it will do 100+ in 1st gear...
bullshit 40 tops

Never been on one (read: motorcycle) period, but 40mph doesn't make any sense.

Sooooooooo, has she taken out any new insurance on you that may not know about?  :?:

In my area we have at least one/yr get killed on one of those because the rider was driving on as his/her first bike. ::)

If you are planning on changing out your ITBs for some bigger ones in the future, to make it faster, I'll take them. ;D

make a hayabusa faster than it already is?  find some mountain roads and have a blast.  i guarantee youll never be able to pin it out unless you have long straights which wouldnt be all that mountain like...

btw, congrats on a really fucken fast bike!

That's like taking a Sumo wrestler to ballet practice.

Well I'm in Florida now and there are no mountains but there are lots of long long flat straights which is perfect for this guy, also this bike fits my affinity for standing mile and top speed runs better than any other bike.

However when I was in Cali with the 600 that thing was a blast through the mountains, but all too slow over all for me.

That visual actually mad me chuckle out loud.

I was hoping you would chime in.That is the plan to boost it in the future. First though I wanna do  a couple things, stretch, undertail, etc...

What kit is on your bike? Looking for a decent one or build my own.
