wtf no vid... ::)

It's a prototype.

24' wake/ski boat. It's propped to run 65 top end, but gets there almost instantly.

It's currently making a hair over 600 HP and 680 lb/ft.

pics of said boat or you are a douche nozzle.

PS a stock ls3 with the edelbrock supercharger kit is doing 599RWHP and 640FTLBS Just so ya know lol Thats 748 at the crank with 25% drivetrain loss.

PPS, get a real air filter on that thing. Thats one thing the boat world doesn't seem to get haha. Put as big as you can, Stop trying to cover it up and let it inhale!!

a 400k boat floats just as well as a 80k boat or a 10-20k boat for that mater

It might float as well, but I bet it don't have HD flat screens in the cabin to watch porn on while you are railing your mistress, while also sending the same video out to the screens on the deck for your buddies to enjoy.

People use these for tenders for some yachts.

Are you honestly trying to compare a 30ish foot boat to one?

Maybe in Canaduh.

boats are so much fun. 60mph feels like 120. ive been on one boat that had twin 502's that were supercharged. its a weird feeling skipping across water/bad ass

def a very expensive hobby though. id love to have a nice fishing boat someday, i know if i got into high speed boats i would be poor. One trip out on the water can cost alot of money in fuel

Fastest I've been on the water was 97 MPH. We ran out of lake.

Rebuilt 17' action lightened all to hell with kevlar. Worked 200 black max with glass reeds, bobs nose cone and gas.

Has a 28" cleaver on it. If we had more room it would have probably hit 110 maxed out.

It's too fucking fast in a 17' boat.

My dad has a 15' 1959 Trophy flat bottom river racing boat. It has a 150hp 2 stroke inline 6 merc on it. Fucking thing is totaly nuts at 60mph  :o

Ive been in old shit box hondas doing 140+ mph freeway runs and felt safer in the shit boxes then I did in his boat. It rides on about the last 2-3' of the boat at wot. I think it needs a v-drive and a turbo honda motor!!  :noel:

I wish I had a pic of this one. About 3" of the back of the boat and half of the prop is in the water when its aired out. It's nucking futz. You flatfoot it and it feels like it stands straight up for a split second, begins to ease over then takes off like a damn jet.

going 100mph in a 17' boat would scare the shit out of me

It was a hell of a ride.

I like fast cars, fast bikes and fast planes. But boats, fast boats are pretty crazy. I'm more in to big yachts.

I did an internship at Mercury Marine back in college.  We got to take the boats out several times.  It was a lot of fun.  I worked in the base engine department.  It was pretty sweet.  There are like 6 main engineers on the engine team and they do everything.  Multiple product lines too.

That would make for one awsome ride, both in speed and watersports. The boat my dad had when I was in middle- & high-school was a 16' baja with a 140hp johnson. That shit was really fun on smooth water. Crank the trim up, raise a rooster tail, and just skim over the water >60mph. It was like that 17 FT Action marine, but a little more stable & a little slower. Then lowered the motor on the transom, added a power prop, and we'd wakeboard. Both were good times, but the grass is always greener... Now he just has a jetski, but I've had that up to 62mph this year.

I would love to get into boat modding, for pay that is. Nothing's better than wrenching on an engine, sipping beer, then jumping in the water. Chicks in bikini's don't hurt either.

The action is a fast hull because the design of the bow forces  air under it to lift the hull out of the water. As long as the water is smooth and you don't catch a cross wind it's a rush.

All I want is a 10ish year old tournament ski boat with about a 350hp that I can put a tower, wedge and fat sacks on. Those stupid v-drives make so much wake you can't really ski behind them too.

Boat=Hole in the water you throw money into.

Not to take anything away from it, as one could get pussy just as easily on land as sea.  But I digress.  Back to the trailer park...
