herp3s simpl3x: i was doing 5 over the limit
herp3s simpl3x: but the road surface = 10 year old blacktop skim coat
herp3s simpl3x: so it crumbles like walking on crackers
herp3s simpl3x: imagine a car trying to turn on it
herp3s simpl3x: it was really hot here today
herp3s simpl3x: so the tar was liquid
boostedschemes: sounds like you should get a car with awd
boostedschemes: oh, wait
herp3s simpl3x: my swaybar link broke before i came into the turn
herp3s simpl3x: i found it 800ft away from the crash
herp3s simpl3x: where i heard the clunk
boostedschemes: the clunk was your driver skill going out the window
herp3s simpl3x: wrx = worst awd understeer ever
herp3s simpl3x: take away front swaybar = driving pickup truck backwards
boostedschemes: just take out the front axle fuse
boostedschemes: instant rwd

herp3s simpl3x: can't
herp3s simpl3x: front axle = primary drive
boostedschemes: you mean there isnt a fuse that disconnects the front axle
herp3s simpl3x: noob no
herp3s simpl3x: lrn2subaru
boostedschemes: i dunno man
boostedschemes: i think there probably is
herp3s simpl3x: http://www.everdrive.com/skupictures/TRN3224919.jpg (http://www.everdrive.com/skupictures/TRN3224919.jpg)
boostedschemes: have you tried the alternator fuse?
herp3s simpl3x: look at pic
boostedschemes: i dunno man
boostedschemes: pics are pics
boostedschemes: but i think if you took out some fuses?
boostedschemes: maybe rwd?
herp3s simpl3x: http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n160/Lil_Shoaf/Subaru/P7140428.jpg (http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n160/Lil_Shoaf/Subaru/P7140428.jpg)
herp3s simpl3x: nope.
herp3s simpl3x: look at pic
herp3s simpl3x: you can't disconnect the front
boostedschemes: i dunno man
boostedschemes: try some fuses
herp3s simpl3x: fuck your fuses
boostedschemes: i read on the internet
herp3s simpl3x: ill fuse your sisters mouth to my anus
boostedschemes: some guy had a awd
boostedschemes: and then he took out a fuse
boostedschemes: and he was rwd

herp3s simpl3x: maybe for a porche

If you remove the front swaybar the result is oversteer.  Also, inbreeding is a bitch.

Wait, after reading the title of the thread you link to I have discovered it's the fault of women drivers.  Damn you, equal rights.

One of the fun things I learned lately.  I recommended this for my friend's GSR, followed by him driving it in the rain.  I'll see if he actually does it once the head is rebuilt.

Fail. Remove the front sway and you get hella oversteer. Too bad JD beat me to it. Damn skippy about femal drivers. Complex and the rest of them bitches should stick to the dishes and laundry like they're s'posed to.

You don't want to do it on a street car though. This is for auto-x cars with so much spring the car doesn't need sways for reducing roll, and on a car that's 2/3 the weight of a streetable version. They remove the front and tune the rear to induce rotation. Remove the front sway from a pigtegra on stockish springs and you'll be forced to treat fast S-turns & emergency lane changes like the devil himself.

Its stripped out a good bit (no interior behind the front seats, no AC/PS/cruise/ABS/heat), and on a pretty stiff GC/Koni setup.  Was built as an autocross car a few owners back.  It's probably pretty light.  I told him to try this after he told me he didn't believe in liftoff oversteer.  Tried it in gran turismo 4, he decided he didn't want to die.  Almost talked him into boosting it, but he thinks NA is cooler than making the same power for half the money at half the RPM.
