A cracked sleeve prevented me from showing up today, but the other 5 road dogs showed up, and I played crew chief bitch. Finally 2 of them rocked 10's.
White Rabbit- went 12.0, second burnout broke axle- 375hp
Flat black civic-11.07 best, 611hp, spins tires all down the track at 6psi air pressure for unknown reasons.
Shiney black civic with both headlights-600hp, the guy just can't drive is what I gather.
Shiney civic missing 1 headlight- Full Blown owner, dipped into 10.97 today, 750hp, just started track driving.
Teal civic- 500hp D series, driving experience, dipped 10.86 today before blowing headgasket.
A day at rockfalls with fellow ricers.. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1gPCeySNMs&feature=player_embedded#normal)

Low air pressure helping traction with slicks is a hillbilly myth.
:P
-
maybe some NEW slicks would help. 6 psi is fine, on the low side but still ok
-
all slicks are under 10 runs new, other than the shiny black civic with both headlights, who has some MT slicks that are "peeling" vs wearing the way they should. Then he popped one anyhow. I think they're junk.

He should call MT and raise hell.
-
Peeling? If it's what I think you mean, tell him to align the car and stop knocking the tires off every pass.
-
I know what you're saying Yoseph, but these slicks are peeling all over, and he says he bought them new a couple months ago, while everyone elses' slicks are wearing smooth after runs. I just don't get it. Small, 1/8" peels by the hundreds, evenly around the slick. ???
-
They aren't peeling, they are spinning. He'll just consume tires if he doesn't get traction, or move to a bigger slick that doesn't spin.
-
While the flat black civic obviously spins his slicks all the way down the track, and they look normal like everyone elses'?
-
There's a difference between spinning them off and spinning while getting traction, and the way tires wear.
