Title: Old Build Threads or old builds in general
Post by: DasPoop on August 13, 2010, 10:14:57 PM
I remember on the old site under the staff section there used to be tons of builds everyone had done. Does anyone have any of these archived I wanted to read through the a6 "wheeze" thread again among others to see the crazy fab that went into these builds before everything could just be bought from suppliers. some of the crazy setups especially the twin turbo b series crx.
Thanks

What I find amusing is nothing is bigger than a t3 60trim, and almost all of them are completely stock engine/trans/clutch. REAL home made turbo projects.

It seemed like every other day the was some piece and garbage fence post with some handicap rail and a junkyard turbo making 10 lbs and turning people out.

Everyone that is still around is all baller and shit running big snails and big numbers.

I miss the creativeness.

I'm hoping to make 400 off of $50, doubt the clutch will hold it.

Start with commonplace V8 capable of making more, add free Holset with minor inducer damage from being run without a filter, up boost until clutch slips.
