1989 GTM Coupe, rare mid-engine Mini-based car, imported to Canada in 2006, may be only one in North America. CHASSIS – steel monocoque with attached Mini front subframes, front and rear. BODY – bonded fiberglass main section and door with flip front, red/black paint. INTERIOR – RHD dash, adjustable Konig hi-back seats, no carpet, wood steering wheel. MOTOR – 1275 engine. GEARBOX – 4 speed manual. BRAKES – 8.4†front discs and rear drums, WHEELS AND TIRES – 13†Minators with 175/50 tires. PRICE - $5,500 CDN. COMMENTS – The car runs but requires refreshing of the mechanical, hydraulics, interior and fiberglass body. REASON FOR SELLING – Funding another project.

Fuck even a D15 would be better than what it has. The A-series didn't make 80bhp stock, and not even 100bhp with a turbo. It's probably slower than a mild shifter cart in every respect.
I'm a fan of small cars & all, but hell. Take the money you saved with half the steel usage and buy a little bigger motor. :-\

they can be built to abit more then that but still I would swap it out. ASk the boys about the white 1275 mini at knox mountain, it hauled ass.

I never said they were reliable, that includes the trans :P
