Title: was thinking of a new project
Post by: jeffsciv23 on August 26, 2010, 04:59:45 PM
so since ive been working ive been thinking of a new project. then the other day i was getting pissed about how much gas i go through driving my rodeo compared to my civics ive owned in the past. im not getting another civic anytime soon. so i started thinking about getting a scooter for back and forth to work, after looking at teh ruckus and being undecided about those i thought about a YSR project. trying to find a rolling frame with title for cheap, anybody ever have one?

honda nsr 50 is way better in my opinion but were never made street legal
my suggestion is get either a puch e50/za50 moped or a tomos a35 engined moped then visit this site

www.treatland.tv (http://) (http://) (http://)

any part you need they have it.

I had a 1995 tomos targa with a 74cc gila kit that scooted along at 58-60mph sounded bad ass and had less than 1000$ into it

aside from shitty music here are some ideas
Puch Maxi (gilardoni-Italkit) LogiSpeed :P (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCAfiQraBTA#normal)

Sprinter: 75 gila, hpi, topracing, 24 mikuni.. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiumRlcHx5g&feature=related#normal)

I had a 1990 ysr 50 in about 94 or 95, it was kinda cool to boot around on in the neighbor hood, or in an empty parking lot. However I was never able to get mine regi'd for road use. So it got sold. It did about 45mph flat out.

Scooters is childrens shit. If you want a cheep bike look for mid 70's to mid 80's jap bikes. 100 times cooler and still good on gas.

you can apply that sentence to spiker aswell, except replace jeff with spiker, and tall for fat.

Bigmans' ass would swallow up that bike in an instant.

lol yeah i didnt really think about that. maybe i can get one if i find one cheap and just see how it goes, if im too tall then ill still fix it up then sell it.

ive wanted a ysr since i was a kid and seen one at the dealership but was never able to get one. the ones ive been seeing fixed up are going from 2500-4000. i seen on on CL for 700 in lake chelan that coudl use some cosmetic work. maybe i just want something to work on that isnt a honda, im done throwing money at those things for awhile lol.

I am 6'3" and was about 6' when I had mine (I was 14 when I got it, 15 when I sold it). It was tight but ridable, for short periods of time. Then again I can ride a pocket bike for a short time too so...

I would rock one of these

Saw these stumbling around you tube one day they race these in south asia
Pretty bad ass I would build one of these because there small enough to be compact and cheap yet big enough to not get killed when a car doesnt see you.

I've seen harley ultra glides in a pile of parts "when a car does see you" it doesn't matter how big or small it is...

yeah bikes + car = bad news. 4 guys coming back from sturgis were killed last week when a car crossed over the center line in construction. it was bad.
