Bentley or BMW, what exactly you looking for?

List your car, then I shall seek.

Easy to find if you want Russian...I don't have a rapidshare acct so I can't check them all. The RAR's seem to be a runable program.

If you don't mind using a few Gigs for a not-so-great manual, get the older AllData BMW disc. It's always floating around somewhere.

Bentley is the publisher, like Helms or Chilton.

i'm after the bentley manual for  99-05 bmw 3 series aka e46 chassis.  bentley is like haynes or chiltons, its the publisher, but there way better then those piece of shit  its the only manual to have for these cars, the bmw manuals or factory whatever call for 17 special tools to change a strut

i have them in pdf for 92-98 3 series and i think 5 series but this one is hard to find.

just picked this up cheap i need to get it up and running asap because theres a class action lawsuit for owners of these cars and bmw north america is paying for a very expensive problem this one suffers from (subframe is tore) but for whatever reason theres a oct 9 deadline

So this is what ultimate means in "Ultimate Driving Machine"? Bar-none in everything it does, including failing? ;)

ya they drive awesome, they can also fail pretty awesome.  they defiently aint no honda, when i get in my honda it feels like a raggedy little trashcan with front wheels skiping and plowing all over the place, but it never fails.   plus i kinda like inline sixes

I've wanted to work on these and see what all the hype about these.

In the last couple of years I'm seeing BMW all over the place in my area.

Use to be only cock smokers drove those, now everybody is buying them.  :-\

whats not to like rwd inline 6s with forged internals, awesome brakes and suspension 4  doors and mine has sprtpackage so it has nice seats lower stiffer suspension fat rollbars etc and its not a toyota/lexus. Now they just need hmt tunning . then there the cocks that badge buy but ya this manual would really speed some shit up and im not about to pay $80 for a paper book

I've got an '05 330xi myself.  If you have any luck with the manual would you mind sharing?  I've tried with no success.

We did an E46 328i head gasket back in the spring, double VANOS engine, the OEM service literature was overly complex and the only speshul tool you actually needed was compressed air.  Fired right up and ran great, come to find out most BMW experts sell an engine swap as it's "impossible" to reclock the VANOS shit.

What are you trying to do?  I may have a manual around somewhere, I remmber it being a PITA to find.

doin that.  oem service manual is overly complex, bentley is good. probly not experts if they say its impossible but ya you need some special tools to lock the cams and compressed air to apply pressure to the oil fitting for vanos.  you guys make somethin to pressureize the vanos?

some "experts"  will sell a swap because if it was overheated enough it weakens the threads in the aluminum block and they pull out when re torque the head down.  then you have to timecert  it or some shit

so pretty much you want to loosen and retorque before you bother pulling the shit, which i did last night, round 3 of tightening and the center stud got too easy to turn   :'(  didnt have much hope for this motor anyways considering a swaping in a 330/x3 motor now

what id like to do is throw in a iron block single vanos motor from the e36 but from my searching i would probly be the 1st to attempt it   convert to obd1 for boost probly have to keep the stock siemens dme or nothining would work and run a obd1 dme

fuck if i had the time id do some rhmt shit

fuck bmws

The stock electronics work fine with an LS1 swap, assuming they think the key is on and the engine is off...

Then get some DEFI stuff for a custom cluster, hide/remove the original bullshit, and you're set. Or just do the right thing and gut all the useless BMW copper. In 10 years the EPA will have such strict guidelines, they'll be down to basic electronics anyways (besides the paper-thin lcd screen GPS).
